My final stock-rising offensive prospect to keep an eye on in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky is
Peyton Ladd
Peyton
Ladd
6'0" | 190 lbs | RB/ATH
Eastern | 2028
State
KY
. Ladd had a solid sophomore year at Valley, running the ball 28 times for 260 yards and three touchdowns in nine games. He has explosive speed which he uses to burst through the running lane in a hurry then run away from the defense for big gains. When defenders are able to catch up to him, he has shown the leg drive and contact balance to break tackles with ease without losing stride. Ladd also made an impact on defense at linebacker this past season, recording 43 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and an interception. Peyton will look to gain more opportunities to showcase his talent after transferring to Eastern for his junior season.

. Ladd was very impressive during position drills, keeping the ball high and tight through each drill and showing smooth change of direction ability. He also stood out during the open field competition against linebackers, showing the ability to set up the defender for quick inside cuts to make them miss. Peyton will be a player to continue to keep an eye on as his role in the Male offense continues to grow over the next couple seasons.

Ladd is a physical runner that really is at his best when shoulders are square inside the tackles. His already made high school frame catches the eye, especially in pads. He touched the ball 6 times for a hard fought 18 yards. The first carry went for +7 and every opportunity after that was hard fought to stay on the positive side. As always, with so many penalties it was hard to get into a rhythm but his presence was still felt and displayed a willingness to block.

– Was my first time getting to see Ladd play live and I was a big fan of him
– Ran very hard with a down hill tilt at all times and was a chore for Tennessee to bring down
– He was one of the most physically impressive-looking prospects on the 8th grade Kentucky Future Stars team this year. Listed as an Athlete, because he looks like he can play all over the field as of June 2024

is returning back for another year as a nice size option for the signal caller to distribute the ball to move the chains. Ladd is decisive in his decision making while toting the pill for the Kentucky Future stars. Not having that much to go off on in recent footage, myself and other scouts are anxious to get more eyes on him with so much talent in this game. Peyton’s toughness will play a factor on winning this game and be evident to whomever is brave enough to clash with this titan before the whistle. He plays with good pad level and has pride in keeping his QB upright.
