Houser, the No. 6 ranked quarterback in California’s 2022 class according to Prep Redzone, chose Boise State over five Pac 12 schools that offered him.
He is 6-foot-3, 200 pounds and very athletic for his size. His ability to extend plays with his legs and also has one of the better arms in the 2022 class.
Boise State has been very active in Southern California the past few seasons, including its starting running back George Holani, who went to St. John Bosco.

2023 rising cornerback lands two Pac 12 offers
Sophomore defensive back Maliki Crawford of Pacifica (Oxnard) was offered by Cal and Colorado this past week.
Colorado coach Demetrice Martin offered Crawford Thursday, which marked the tenth offer for him.
The 6-foot-3 corner has other Pac 12 offers like Arizona State and some other Power 5 offers like Miami and Michigan State.
He is a lengthy cornerback who doubles as a receiver and is a very good athlete. He has room to put on some muscle without compromising his speed.

Rising Long Beach Poly star gets two major offers Thursday
Two of the elite programs in the nation offered class of 2023 athlete Daylen Austin on Thursday.
USC extended the offer first and Georgia pulled the trigger in the afternoon.
Austin is 6-foot-1 and one of the best athletes in Southern California who can play receiver and defensive back.
He has become a national recruit since early March, drawing offers from Oregon and Notre Dame before the two offers Thursday.
Top San Diego receiver gets local offer
St. Augustine class of 2023 receiver Jeremiah McClure picked up an offer from San Diego State Wednesday.
San Diego State has made it a point to recruit local San Diego kids for awhile now but seems to have been even more aggressive lately. The Aztecs had the top 2021 recruiting class according to 247Sports. They landed top San Diego players like Josh Simmons Josh Simmons 6'6" | 285 lbs | OL Helix | 2021 State CA , New Zealand Williams New Zealand Williams 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB St. Bernard | 2021 State CA and Jaiden Brown. They also got some Trinity League prospects like Ross Maseuli Ross Maseuli 6'3" | 335 lbs | OL Mater Dei | 2021 State CA and Noah Avinger Noah Avinger 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Servite | 2021 State CA .
McClure hasn’t put up numbers on the field in St. Augustine’s short season, but he was impressive in 7-on-7 camps with Team Makasi and is a sprinter on the track team. His speed may make him a national recruit and he also is an outstanding special teams player.
After a 77-yd kickoff return from Jeremiah McClure, Gracen Halton gets into the end zone to give St. Augustine a 7-3 lead over Cathedral.

Orange County freshman lands ACC offer
Orange class of 2024 athlete Kobe Boykin Kobe Boykin 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Los Alamitos | 2024 CA was offered by Pittsburgh last Wednesday.
The ACC school is the fourth school to offer the speedy freshman.
I have covered Boykin twice now and he has elite speed for a freshman. He is dangerous in the open field and shifty enough to where he is hard to tackle.
As impressive as Boykin’s skills with the ball are, he is almost equally impressive as a cornerback. He was faced with covering Arizona commit Tacario Davis Tacario Davis 6'3" | 185 lbs | DB Millikan | 2022 State CA Thursday and Davis had zero catches. Boykin played nearly 80 percent of the snaps on both sides of the ball for Orange and only made two noticeable mistakes, which is remarkable for a freshman.
Boykin will be a national recruit this summer and will likely hit double-digit offers before his sophomore season in the fall.
