Coates-Cameron is a natural at tracking the ball in the air as he makes over-the-shoulder catches look routine while also being able to adjust mid-route to the correct shoulder to make the catch. Despite Coates-Cameron having great vertical speed he doesn't have great acceleration which limits his ability to be sudden on his breaks and change speeds to win on intermediate routes. Coates-Cameron has lots of time to improve his acceleration which would take his route running to another level and allow him to become a dominant high school receiver. He has the arm strength to make any throw on the field while also being able to layer throws with touch at the intermediate level. Due to his height, he does have some limitations throwing in the middle of the field as he doesn't step into passes when throwing over the middle instead he drifts onto his backfoot which can cause passes to sail over his target's head. Deschamps is a play-creator with his legs as he is elusive in the pocket and makes defenders miss while he scrambles. He always keeps his eyes downfield when scrambling as he is looking for an outlet to pass the ball because of his loose arm he can get the ball out on target in any situation.
