ESA is one of the best 7 on 7 programs in the St. Louis area. They have won 17 regional titles across the country, had made 24 championship appearances, and were qualified for Nationals 16 times.
ESA had put on a topnotch performance at the 7 on 7 tournament. These five individuals that are on the rise have made huge plays and will be players to look out for next fall.
RB Maddox Duncan
Francis Howell c/o 24
Duncan is a solid running back, coming off of his freshman year as a Viking. Even though he didn’t play as much, the work that he’s been putting in this offseason has been paying off. Duncan has always been a fast, shifty running back who can hit the hole very well. Not only that he can run, the fast back has grade-A hands as well. During the Sooner 7 Classic, Duncan made numerous catches and made a couple trips into the end zone. He has a promising future at Francis Howell, being one of the best running backs in the Midwest.

QB Colt Michael
DeSmet Jesuit c/o 23
Michael is a huge sleeper at the quarterback position. The O’Fallon transfer has proven himself on the JV team at his previous school, and he will be a great fit for one of the top schools in the St. Louis area. Michael has a great arm and can sling the ball in tight spaces. He is also extremely accurate in his throws, and his timing on getting rid of the ball is very expeditious. Michael showed that he is a huge gunslinger at the tournament, targeting every receiver in his vision. He is going to be a quarterback that’s going to catch a lot of attention from college scouts.

WR Allen Middleton Allen Middleton 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Mascoutah | 2023 State IL
DeSmet Jesuit c/o 23
Michael is not alone, for a great quarterback comes with a great receiver. Middleton, has great speed and agility. He is also an expertise in his route running ability, creating great separation from defenders, and he has great hands. During the Sooner 7 Classic, he made numerous catches that were in tight spaces. Middleton will be one of Michael’s top targets to throw to in the fall.

DB Samad Mounger
Rockwood Summit c/o 22
Mounger is a fast, physical defensive back with great patience. He has great outside containment and can break on the ball really well. Mounger broke up numerous passes at the tournament. He will be one of the top defensive backs in the state next season.

WR Chris Jenkins
Trinity Catholic c/o 23
Although Jenkins played behind a talented receiving core, he has shown that he is next up. Jenkins is an outstanding route runner, and he is able to catch whatever is thrown to him. He showed out and made numerous plays at the Sooner 7. Jenkins has been preparing this off season for his time to shine, and he will show the city that he’s the best in the area.
