Daryl Little plays receiver like a hooper who got tired of people tackling him — and that’s meant as a compliment. The burst, the stop‑start, the way he can eat cushion in two steps and then snap you at the top of the route… it all screams basketball footwork and body control. He’s got that natural looseness in his movements where he can throttle down, change direction, and get back up to speed without looking like he’s working very hard. But he’s not just quick — he’s also got the size and length that makes DBs uncomfortable when the ball’s in the air, because he can extend and play above defenders in ways smaller receivers simply can’t. The production backs it up too. Over 1,400 yards, 24 yards per reception, 15 touchdowns through the air, another four scores from either taking handoffs or returning interceptions. And it’s really not surprising he’s all‑region in basketball, even earning region defensive player of the year, because that defensive intensity and awareness show up on the football field too. As a defensive back he’s instinctive, active with his hands, and always seems to have a good feel for where the ball is headed. Once he gets possession, he’s tough to bring down in space, and the funny thing is it never really looks like he’s moving that fast. He just glides, and suddenly he’s ten yards past you.

Little is one of the most versatile and explosive players in the state. On offense, he totaled over 1,700 scrimmage yards with 18 touchdowns rushing 330 yards and taking 60 receptions for 1,415 yards. Also added 47 tackles and five interceptions on defense. A true game changer with the speed and agility to flash in all phases of the game. He’s a homerun threat every time he touches the ball and a matchup nightmare for opponents to contain. Holds two offers with his first P4 coming through this week from Oregon State. Expect many more to follow as he gains exposure.

Another dominating sophomore that is blooming into a true division 1 talent, Little racked up over 1,400 yards receiving and 18 TD’s. Solid route runner that was utilized in the slot or “3” receiver often, as he displays a good initial burst off the ball- but does a great job running up the DB’s toes and exploding out of the top of his route to generate clear separation. Very dangerous after the catch as he possesses the twitch and top end speed to make you miss or burn you with pure speed, but also possesses good physicality to throw opponents off of him and bust loose (Play 1:30 on film). Along with these, he shows good ball skills all around with body control, and can be a vertical threat to go up and win those contested catches. A very promising prospect that should see his recruitment explode here soon.

Thunderbird might not have been a playoff team, but if you watched them at all this year, you noticed No. 5 pretty quickly because

was one of the most dynamic all-purpose threats in the entire conference — and he’s already an elite defender as just a sophomore. I covered that side of the ball not too long ago, but he deserves just as much credit for what he did on offense, where he somehow managed to be both their primary receiver and their go‑to gadget guy. The numbers are insane over 2,000 all-purpose yards, more than 1,400 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns through the air, all while being the focal point of every opposing defense. The tape backs it up — he’s smooth with the ball in his hands, accelerates like he’s gliding, and has the top‑end speed to actually finish plays, not just create chunk gains. Screens, crossers, deep balls, jet action, returns — he touched the game in every way possible, and Thunderbird leaned on him like a true engine of their offense. Even when defenses rolled help or bracketed him, he still found ways to break through.

Thunderbird’s Daryl Little is putting up video game numbers right now — over 200 all-purpose yards a game, which is just bonkers for a sophomore — and he’s still finding ways to impact the game defensively. He’s listed as a receiver, defensive back, and return man, but what he’s doing on defense is just as wild as his offensive production. Little’s already got 4 interceptions and 5 pass breakups this season after snagging over 1,200 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns on the other side of the ball. The dude is everywhere, doing everything, and opposing teams have started throwing away from whoever he’s covering. As a DB, he’s smooth, instinctive, and fearless, reading quarterbacks like a book and jumping routes before the ball’s even out. He’s not afraid to come downhill and hit either, bringing some real attitude to Thunderbird’s secondary. He’s the real deal — a legit two-way star whose impact shows up in every phase of the game.

plays with that rare blend of suddenness and smooth control. He’s electric with the ball in his hands — not just fast, but elusive in a way that forces defenders to miss in space. His quick feet make for tight, clean routes that consistently shake defenders and create easy separation. He’s not all flash, either. His hands are dependable, and he has the length and body control to make tough grabs outside his frame. Whether it’s a deep shot or a quick slant that he turns into a big gain, Little brings serious juice to any offense. He’s one of those guys you make sure gets touches — because good things happen when the ball finds him.

High level athlete with the speed, quickness, and route tempo to create separation at every level. Accelerates well out of his stance to gain ground and has the long speed to win vertically. Tracks the ball naturally and shows the body control to make tough catches outside his frame. Elusive in space with the ability to make defenders miss and break away after the catch. Scored nine touchdowns on 30 receptions as a freshman. Picked up his first offer from NAU in June and will add more as he showcases his skillset.

Little is a very impressive young player that sprung onto the scene his freshman season, putting up 575 yards and 9 TD’s on 30 receptions. Really good top end speed all around- as he’s also a dangerous punt/kick return kid as well. He showcases good lateral burst with the ability to make opponents miss, and utilizes that top end speed out of his cuts to bring that big play ability. Strong, reliable hands with the ability to adjust his body to make a play. A very raw talented kid that hasn’t even come close to touching his potential, as Little holds a very high ceiling moving forward and could easily wind up being a double digit offer kid within the next 6 months.

Explosive playmaker with the skillset to make an impact in all three phases. Exceled out of the slot and in the return game as a freshman for Thunderbird. He’s a high level athlete that possesses the speed and quickness to create separation at all three levels. Strong drive phase with good acceleration out of his stance allows him to close on DB’s cushion and then run by using his long speed. Excellent ball judgement skills and adjustment ability. He attacks the football in the air while showing the body control and coordination to make difficult grabs outside his framework. Dangerous after the catch, he’s a tough tackle in space with the ability to make defenders miss using his speed and lateral quickness. Was one of the leading receivers in the 2028 class with 575 yards and nine touchdowns on 30 receptions. Voted First Team All-Region and will be a weapon for the Titan’s over the next three years.
