brings a wide catch radius that makes him a constant threat down the field. At 6’3, 190, Martin does a nice job adjusting to throws outside his frame, using his length and leaping ability to go get the football. He stays on track mid-stride and extends to secure passes, making life easier on his quarterback. Martin is comfortable finishing through contact and winning in contested situations, which shows up on vertical shots. That ability to play above defenders with his basketball background makes him a dangerous target out wide.

enters the offseason in an exciting new chapter, transferring to Chapmanville for his senior season after the Tigers graduated their top three pass catchers. Martin built on the potential he showed as an underclassman, taking a clear step forward as a junior with 32 catches for 454 yards and four touchdowns while showing notable physical growth that elevated his overall game. With an expanded role waiting in a passing game ready for a new lead target, Martin has a prime opportunity to emerge as a go-to option and further showcase the D1-level potential he’s displayed throughout his high school career. The offseason will be key for refining his route work, strength, and consistency as he prepares to make a significant impact in his final year.

has taken the next step in his development this season for the Patriots and is showing the potential we saw in him as a freshman two years ago. He has made significant physical progress, which has helped elevate his game this season. Martin was dominant against a good, well-coached Barnesville (OH) squad last week and has become a serious downfield target in their passing game. If Martin continues this progression, he’ll fulfill the D1 potential we saw in him as a young player.

Is this the year that 2027 George Washington WR/DB

proves the potential we’ve seen in him since his freshman year? That’s the biggest question for him heading into his junior year as he’s waited for expanded opportunities on the varsity team. Martin has high-level upside in our eyes, but it needs to translate on Friday nights over the next two seasons. The size, athleticism, and raw ability are present in Martin’s game, which is bound to eventually allow him to emerge as a playmaker as a now upperclassman.

who has shown flashes of what he could one day become. We’ve only gotten to see some brief film of Martin to date but expect him to carve out a varsity role as a sophomore with big things potentially on the horizon for him. If he develops how we think he will, Martin could end up being a D1 prospect by his senior year or sooner.
Here’s what we recently said about Martin in our 2027 rankings Debut article:

. Martin is a long and athletic receiver with natural playmaking ability which you could see in the few clips available to us. He should be one of the Patriots’ go-to receivers this season as they’ll be searching for some to step up after some losses from last season’s team. Martin is one of many prospects inside of the Top 10 with basketball backgrounds and athleticism that you’re born with. We’re betting on Martin to make strides over the next three years and take on a bigger role on the varsity team sooner rather than later with the #2 WR ranking and inside of the Top 10 overall.”

will also be one of the top 2027 WRs in the class up until he graduates. Martin first caught my attention when I was watching highlights from fellow George Washington classmate and QB

and the two were seemingly hooking up on every one of Blankenship’s highlights. I then immediately had to look up a GW roster and figure out who this long and athletic receiver was. Martin is a legit 6’3 180 as a freshman with apparent athletic traits that popped on the limited highlights I could find. He’s a very fluid athlete for his age and early length who will become a monster when he starts filling out and getting stronger. Martin flashed sure hands with the ability to snag contested catches through contact while also being able to go up over defenders to secure the catch. He also looks like he’ll be good after the catch and has playmaking ability in that area too. I’m excited to watch him grow and develop over the next three years and would also consider him a likely future D1 prospect.
