He’s stepping in as the leader of the defense this season at middle linebacker and produced in a big way in game one. Markonich totaled 14 solo tackles and 2 TFLs in the 23-21 win over the Tigers. He’s an underrated linebacker prospect in the class who will demand colleges overlook his lack of size, as he’s a big-time producer on the field.

He’s a tough, physical middle linebacker who plays with an edge. Markonich comes downhill with bad intentions and welcomes contact, which you love to see in your middle linebacker.
