is another D1 signee in what has turned out to be an absolutely loaded position group. We didn’t see as much of Ballinger in person as we’ve seen some of the other OL prospects but our last impression of him as a prospect was a very good one. We saw Ballinger at a team camp in 2022 and then again in 2023. The jump that he made as an offensive lineman from one year to the next was one of the better jumps of anyone in this class, regardless of position. Ballinger became an absolute mauler and then you throw on the tape and you see the same steady physical play.

at the left tackle position. There are a couple Ballingers along the offensive line but Ezra is the upcoming senior that has emerged as a legitimate prospect for the next level. We’ve written about Ballinger a few times over the last two years with him practicing with and against a player like Okoye. “Iron sharpens iron” is a phrase that comes to mind here. When we got a chance to see Ballinger earlier this year at a team camp in late May, he had really taken his game to the next level. His improvement from the last time we saw him in person was noticeable and college coaches have taken notice as well.

is on the shortlist of offensive linemen that impressed us the most during our spring camp tour back in May and early June. When we got a chance to see NOAH at the Rejoice Christian camp, we knew we were going to be impressed with Ballinger after watching him last year and checking out some of his film. But getting a chance to see him in person, it really solidified that he was a prospect that should be on more radars. At the left tackle position, Ballinger was just mauling defensive linemen and when he got locked on to a defender, that defender was going to go where Ballinger wanted him to go. He did a good job of getting to the next level and showcasing his athleticism to take care of smaller but quicker defenders. Ballinger has also seen his recruitment start to take off, which isn’t surprising considering the improvement he’s shown.

The NOAH football program has had plenty of attention over the last few months because of the recruitment of top overall prospect

is a good example of that. Ballinger was arguably the best offensive lineman in attendance and it showed throughout the reps that he took at left tackle. We watched him at this exact team camp last year and the jump he’s made in the last 12 months is noticeable and he’s turned into an outstanding offensive lineman. He’s definitely in the conversation with the other top guys at his position in the state’s 2024 class. Ballinger has seen his recruitment begin to take off and that should just continue into the fall months.

Despite being a top five offensive lineman prospect, NOAH tackle

is one of the more underrated offensive tackles in the state. Ballinger is an absolute monster along the offensive line for the Tulsa-based homeschool program that captured the homeschool national championship last fall. And just like Thomas at Del City, you have to think that Ballinger and some of the other NOAH offensive linemen have improved greatly by going against our 2024 top-ranked prospect in defensive end
Daniel Okoye

during practice. Then you throw on the film and all you see is Ballinger plowing through the competition on every clip. When NOAH is running the ball and Ballinger fires off the line of scrimmage, more times than not, the opponent is going to end up pancaked. As Okoye gets more and more attention from college coaches, hopefully they look to the other side of the line of scrimmage because Ballinger can go.

, and rightfully so. The defensive lineman has emerged as the new #1 overall prospect in the state’s 2024 class, but he’s not the only NOAH standout that’s highly ranked. On the other side of the line of scrimmage is offensive lineman

, who has been one of the more consistent offensive lineman prospects that we’ve watched over the last year. Checking out his sophomore film, plus seeing him in person this spring, his hands were incredibly active and he attacks his opponent very quickly. We’ve mentioned before how it’s an “iron sharpens iron” possibility with Ballinger and Okoye being on different sides of the line of scrimmage. But Ballinger is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on. He has the production and film to continue climbing up the rankings in future updates.
