McCord Purdy McCord Purdy 6'1" | 187 lbs | WR Pickens | 2026 State GA is someone I have kept a close eye on this season. In the off-season at one of our PRZ showcases, Purdy stood out at the wide out position. His all-around performance was something that really caught my eye and he has certainly showcased that this season for the Pickens Dragons (GA). Purdy has great size and ability, and it just spells college talent. He is certainly a wide out who can go and play early at the next level, and he is someone college coaches need to really keep tabs on!

McCord Purdy McCord Purdy 6'1" | 187 lbs | WR Pickens | 2026 State GA stood out with his frame alone but his strong hands and his ability to run routes were really impressive. the 6’2 Pickens County wide-out had himself a day. He was consistent all-day Saturday and showed that he is a next level talent.

A small-town wide receiver who impressed all day long, Purdy showed up with a solid 6-foot-2 185-pound frame and was outstanding during drill work and later during the 1-on-1 portion of the camp. He’s a fluid runner who can change directions and create separation down the field. He was one of the more consistent players throughout the camp and flashed easy D1-caliber talent all day long. He showed strong hands and should have a gigantic senior season this fall for Pickens.

McCord Purdy McCord Purdy 6'1" | 187 lbs | WR Pickens | 2026 State GA was the position group MVP at WR, and for good reason. Purdy is listed at around 6’2 with a long, lean frame. He was really smooth and efficient in his routes, skating through release points and making it hard to stick with him. He was physical as well, showcasing the focus, body control, and hands to rise up through contact and pluck the ball over defenders. Purdy is a real quiet prospect who is a D1 talent. If he drops below the D1 level, it would be a value pickup for whichever small school lands him.

McCord Purdy McCord Purdy 6'1" | 187 lbs | WR Pickens | 2026 State GA has been a popular small-school prospect for us at Prep Redzone over the last few seasons. He finally tacked on his first offer from Reinhardt, but there are certainly some D1 tools here. He is a lean, lanky 6’2 185 who can climb the ladder and skate around the field. Purdy is fluid, has some bounce, and has a few years of proven production to back it up.

“McCord has been covered before, but this is my first time taking an extended look at him. He is a steady WR prospect with good size, measuring in at 6’2 170. On tape, McCord impresses with his fantastic body control. He understands where the sidelines and backline are at all times and is capable of reaching back across his body/over his head to make grabs. Purdy isn’t the twitchiest prospect, but he has the long speed to gradually get behind safeties. From there, he can track the ball over his shoulder and through contact, consistently reeling in tightly contested passes. In the return game, McCord shows off his awareness and vision, keeping his eyes up and weaving in and out of traffic to find room to run. If you are looking for a productive WR prospect with a high floor, Purdy could be your guy in the 2026 class.”
