Week 8: Top Defensive Performances!

So far his junior season, he has put together a terrific year and last week, Blocton delivered an especially dominant performance against Stanhope Elmore. Blocton made his presence felt by amassing seven tackles, four sacks, and two quarterback hurries. Blocton is elite at disrupting offenses' backfields, he applies consistent pressure, can take down the quarterback and has the pursuit and athleticism to track down the ball carrier both behind and beyond the line of scrimmage. Kelly recently put up an exceptional performance in his teams recent game against Flomaton where Mobile Christian's defense pitched a shut out. Kelly had a massive role and impact on this game= he ended up totaling 16 tackles, including 11 solo tackles and 5 assisted tackles. Kelly has an elite ability to read opposing offenses and can make tons of open-field tackles- this week he contributed a ton to his team's success, keep an eye on him as he continues to ball out this fall!","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1059731"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='1059731' first='DJ' last='Jones'], is a highly versatile linebacker/safety from Huntsville, this season he has been super reliable for their defense, and last week he delivered an super impressive performance. Jones was a force on the field in their game against Sparkman, he made tons of game changing plays and ended up totaling an impressive 10 tackles, two crucial forced fumbles, and even blocked a punt as well. Jones single handedly took over throughout this game and helped lead him team to a victory- he has a special ability to make impactful plays and consistently helps put his offense in good starting field position. Booth showcased his disruptive capabilities in their recent game against Alma Bryant. Boothe was a menace on the field and ended up tallying up eight tackles (3 tackles for loss), a sack, and a forced fumble in the game. Boothe has a terrific ability to make sideline to sideline plays- throughout this game he was able to maneuver around the field, get after the quarterback/ball carrier, and was a key part of several defensive stops.
