is a promising talent along the defensive line with his combination of size, athleticism and versatility.
He plays the strong end position in his team’s three-man defensive front and makes an impact in a variety of ways from that alignment.
He has legitimate pass rushing upside that can grow into a 3-tech at the college level. He has a developing arsenal of tools, but he has shown strong flashes of a productive swim move against better opponents on the schedule.
Against the run, he has a high motor and works hard to gain inside leverage to take away his gap assignment and force rushers to not run his way.
He is also a key piece of the offensive line for his team, claiming a tackle spot on the state title run.
Hickman is an exciting prospect that will look to improve the subtleties in his game to take the next step from promising young prospect to a next top recruit at Westview.

is an electric player for the Westview Chargers. After posting an excellent freshman season in 2024, he’s looked even better this year. The big interior lineman is straight-up dominant against the run, showing a remarkable ability to get off blocks and into the backfield.
He’s quick off the ball, has nice hand placement and technique, while being extremely physical and fighting through whoever tries to block him. Hickman is solid as a pass rusher and has good speed and athleticism for an interior guy. I’m a massive fan of this player and am excited to see how he progresses over the next two seasons.

This Chargers freshman is a name to know going forward as a talented two-way lineman that did a lot of damage this Fall on the D-line. As a freshman, Hickman produced 81 total tackles along with 20 for loss and 4 sacks during his debut high school season. He was also a key piece up front on the Chargers offensive line. Hickman was given a lot of responsibility last Fall as a freshman and he delivered. Expectations will be high moving forward for this West TN lineman but I think Hickman will live up to the hype.

Even as a freshman, Hickman played his way into becoming the Chargers top overall lineman that should warrant college looks sooner than later. This active, physical two way big man had an excellent debut season where he led all defensive lineman in tackles at 81 while also producing 20 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles and 4 sacks on the year. Hickman was near dominating from the D-line but he was also quite consistent and forceful with his work on the O-line as well. I do think his future in college will be on defense but Hickman should develop into one of the better two-way linemen coming out of our freshman in-state recruiting class.
