The athlete along the defensive front, this is where Neumann-Goretti's front-seven gets its energy from. A real bender off the edge, one that can rush the passer with his hand on or off the dirt. OLB suites his skill set better than DE, as Adefolarin proves to be comfortable in space.u003c/liu003ern tu003cliu003eA brilliant football player, one of the more disciplined prospects up front, doesn't always scream off the edge, doesn't always fall for misdirections, It's the reason Adefolarin can be looked at as an equally effective run-stopper. Bradley is the sprinter of the defense. Not necessarily the fastest kid, actually far from that, but he's the prospect who will likely be running for the majority of the game, he's capable of keeping his motor revving enough to chase down kids all over the field. Bradley works with power in front of him, athleticism, and play-making behind him, while he and the rest of the backer unit run and hit like dogs. I like the amount of pressure Bradley exerts onto QBs without blitzes being called, he can track QBs that escape the pocket. Was an All-District DB at DMA. 5'11, 175 pounds, doesn't have much NG tape on Hudl yet outside of a 40-second cut-up from the O'Hara game. Even though I don't have a clear look at his game, I can imagine Dorsey III being the missing link in the secondary consisting of Hooper, Reid, and Prescott. This junior rounds out a special group, one that could win them games in their own right. Without seeing his Delaware tape, I can conclude that Dorsey is comfortable working close to the LOS at CB. With trusted seniors, manning tackle spots, and Dodson being kicked inside to guard, there might not be an opportunity for Johnson at this time. He's still an underclassman, so there's hardly an issue with him being held on the sideline right now. One thing's for sure, I'll be keeping my eye out on him moving forward. I could be wrong, and he could be seeing the field, I just haven't been able to dig up any film on Johnson.rnrnLooking back at some of the recorded tape I have from the game against LC, I see a giant lineman playing guard and moving much smaller players out of running lanes. I'll keep digging.rnrnThe same could be said about [player_tooltip player_id='908573' first='Wydeek' last='Collier'], who currently ranks as one of the better sophomore wideout prospects in the state. Collier is going to have to earn every rep in this offense. I know he's seeing the field, as Collier has some noteworthy catches and blocks on tape at the time of writing. Happy to see him see the field so early, should be a good sign for his future at the program. Neumann looks to pound the rock, but can do so with many weapons. Whether Prescott is taking handoffs or keeping and tucking reps at QB, Wharton is tucking and running, or Mitchell or Jefferson is getting reps, Neumann wants the ball in their athlete's hands.rnrnNo two backs get more opportunities than former freshman standouts [player_tooltip player_id='284132' first='Terrance' last='Page'] and [player_tooltip player_id='402431' first='Amahj' last='Gowans']. As I stated, the NG rushing attack is a group effort, yet Page and Gowans receive the bulk of the carries. Gowans, a former top RB at our Spring camp, doesn't have any tape up on Hudl yet, [player_tooltip player_id='284132' first='Terrance' last='Page'] does, however.rnrnPage's tape against West Catholic shows off what he's capable of in open space, as well as between the tackles. Said tape has Page scoring on two occasions, one from inside the red zone, one from 65 yards out. Gowans and Page also scored on runs while I was in attendance against Lansdale Catholic. Clement is just 5'9, less than 150 pounds, yet he was witnessed stacking wideouts downfield using said slight frame. Afterward, I learned he was a former Imhotep Panther, which makes sense, considering the program breeds DBs. Bashir, a 6'3, 240-pound TE/De prospect, is an entirely new name to me, one that was also offered by UNC Charlotte back in late May. Carries his 240-pound frame well, looks good in person. Love the multi-faceted role applied to the underclassman Bashir. Neumann doesn't mind giving him reps inside next to [player_tooltip player_id='377025' first='Deshon' last='Dodson'], working against smaller, weaker IOL. Bashir also has the body and moves to challenge tackles if Adefolarin and Dodson can't be in the game. Turn to the offensive side of the football to see the NG coaching staff get a bit more creative. Can align in the backfield to lead block and serve as a full back for any of the backs at NG's disposal. Lead-blocking should help Bashir become accustomed to blocking schemes around the LOS. This also bodes well for his future, just in case he needs to become an in-line blocker at TE. Didn't witness him catch or run any routes, which is fine, but he looks athletic enough to be trusted and asked to do so.
