– Played for Jackson
If there was any offensive lineman on this list that is nowhere near how good he could potentially become, Williams is that guy. He’s a big body that has a pair of cruise ships for feet. Played offensive tackle during the New Jersey 14U All-Star team’s run to the AYF National Championship. From when I first saw him at the tryout in September to watching him at AYF Nationals in December, he was night and day. Only been playing football for a year or so; if he continues to improve at this rate–he could be scary good.

– At the September All-Star tryouts for the New Jersey 14U team, Williams caught my eye because of his size and potential–after watching his play at AYF Nationals, it’s safe to say he’s on his way there
– Looked like a much more comfortable, confident player in the three months since I saw him play live. Significant improvement across the board
– Lined up at Right Tackle for the New Jersey 14U All-Star team. On more than one occasion, blocked down and collapsed the entire defensive line
– Has some extra weight right now, but has a frame that looks like it could easily transform with some hard work in the off-season

One of only a handful of linemen at the tryout with legitimate size, as I’d say

was in the 6-foot-1, 250 pound range if I were a betting man. The name of the game with Williams is potential. He’s only in his second year of playing football, but with his size and flashes of ability, there’s a lot to be excited about with this Jackson native. He has the frame you want any young linemen to have with long limbs, skinny ankles, big feet and the obvious size. Fundamentally there’s a lot of room for improvement because he’s so raw. He also gets noticeably down on himself when losing a rep, but I’ll take a kid who cares too much over a kid who doesn’t care at all–any day of the week. He flashes ability and raw power when he wins reps. When he loses, his feet tend to stay still and he plays too high. If and when he ties it all together–he could be something nice.
