It was a fitting end to see [player_tooltip player_id='1311677' first='Deylen' last='Jones'] rush in for the game winning two point conversion, he is a perfect example of the Cougars resilience. Like a number of his teammates Jones could of transferred after last year and probably would of had his pick of suitors but instead he stayed in to complete the mission. Not only has Jones cemented himself as one of the best playmakers in Virginia, he has the Oakton faithful believing in the state title aspirations.

This kid is a stud week in and week out for Mechanicsville, [player_tooltip player_id='2417989' first='Tate' last='Edmondson'] continues his breakout junior campaign. I enjoy watching him run over defenders and using his speed to get to the outside, really fun play to cover on both sides. He had a major night against Atlee rushing for 125 yards and he made big time hits at linebacker.

Quack nearly carried the Red Wolves himself to victory as he reached the 1,000 yard rushing threshold in the process. Gar Field has looked like one of the best teams in Class 6 most of the year and they showed again Friday night taking down Patriot. Freeman was unstoppable he had 207 rushing yards and all three Red Wolves touchdowns helping improve their record to 7-1. A true superstar ever since he arrived for Gar Field, I have said it before and I will say it again, he is a Power 4 running back.

Izzo came back from injury and was instrumental in getting Yorktown a huge victory over W&L. He had over 100 total yards and 1 score, after being out for nearly two months its safe to say his presence makes the Patriots a serious title contender.

Lupton is having an impactful season for the Hawks at both tight end and along the defensive line. I swear their is a weekly clip of him making a highlight reel type of catch. When teams have to plan against [player_tooltip player_id='1337962' first='Zayden' last='Burks'] weekly you leave your defense vulnerable to trying to cover this dude 1 on 1. The junior has made the most of his opportunities and will be a handful come playoff time.

One of the better performances I saw this past Friday was out of quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1734421' first='Luke' last='Adams'] who torched Hampton Roads. Adams stock is rising as SJP season end approaches, he threw for 247 yards and 4 scores to notch the Wolfpack their third win on the year. He has one more opportunity to continue raising his stock against Christ Church School.

Hayfield has come on strong as we approach the end of the regular season winning their last three contests. The Hawks offense has been rolling averaging over 40 points per contest with [player_tooltip player_id='2263580' first='Noah' last='Laster'] settling in at quarterback. He threw for a whole mess of yards and 5 touchdown passes in the Hawks shutout over Justice. Laster has come along nicely as his junior year is progressing and he now has Hayfield inside the playoff bubble once again.
