Jonah went absolutely bonkers against one of the best teams in the state after missing consecutive weeks with an ankle sprain. Hamp was just as dangerous through the air as he was on the ground. Lined up at wing in the Straight T he was unstoppable on the power sweep. Using his speed to get to the edge when needed and lowering his shoulder to run through defenders in the C gap as intended. Jonah scored two long TDs on a beautiful post route and a wheel route where he was able to work his way past the deep defenders. He finished the game with 310 all purpose yards and 6 TDs. I think it's safe to safe Jonah is back healthy.

Beaus entire skillset was on full display in a week 8 win for his Northview squad. Peterson accounted for 4 total TDs that he was able to score in multiple different ways. Two of those came on a rail route where he raced up the sideline both times. One of them going for 70 yards and the other going for 20. He took an outside zone handoff 40 yards to the crib after making a defender miss right at the line of scrimmage. His most impressive play to me was the slant that he ran on the goaline. Setting up the DB with some quick foot fire off the line before sticking his foot in the ground and winning inside leverage in the endzone. Peterson finished with 62 yards on the ground and 93 receiving yards.

Joshua was too much to handle coming off the edge in week 8. Whether it was backside or frontside, his pursuit was a disruption to the opposing offense all night. I was impressed with the nice technique that he displayed on film. Staying patient and tracking the inside hip of down blockers, while taking on and wrong arming pulling offensive lineman. Gonzales was very active around the line of scrimmage, where he recorded 8 total tackles, 2 of them being TFLs. He also had multiple QB pressures/hurries and 1 forced fumble.

JT came into week 8 prepared as he had an explosive night against my #2 team in the state. Whether he was lined up outside to the front side or the backside, he was too much for the defense to handle. Gill did most of his damage against zone defense. But he had a great rep against a press man corner where he set the DB up inside before exploding to the back pylon for a toe tap catch. Against zone he continuously read the leverage of defenders before working his way back into his QBs view. He was a TD machine, scoring 3 of them off of 2 fade routes and a post route. JT also racked up 123 receiving yards on 7 catches averaging nearly 18 yards per catch.

Ishmael was a load to tackle all night, as he was running with bad intentions bouncing off defenders easily. Dixon had tons of success on the jet iso and jet sweep play. Where he was able to immediately get downhill and use his leverage and strength to break through the B gap. While showing speed and agility to get to the outside on sweeps. He also showcased some of his ball skills in this game. Dixon ran a seam route and tracked the ball all the way over his shoulders for a beautiful catch on the 1 yard line, which I think was his most impressive play in week 8. He finished with a total of 157 rushing yards, 47 receiving yards and two TDs.
