Despite missing a few weeks this year Frank is having an absolute dominate year for the highlanders. Frank is a big steady defensive lineman that is almost impossible to move off from his spot. Frank has a quick powerful first step and has no problem splitting double teams and making plays all over the backfield. Frank has an ornate ability to stale mate the offensive lineman until he diagnoses a play then manhandles lineman on his way to making a play behind the line of scrimmage. Frank has 9.5 sacks in 7 games and is having as impactful of a year as almost any interior lineman. Howell is off to an amazing start to the year at 8-0 and frank is a massive reason why the highlanders have not lost a game.

Kylen has become the ultimate disrupter for the Caledonia Scots as they are off to an excellent regular season. Kylen has as good of a motor as any defensive lineman that I have seen. He has excellent speed for an interior lineman and routinely run's down running backs and quaterbacks as they try to get on the perimeter. Kylen has excellent use of his hands in close combat engagement with lineman and is able to dip his shoulder and rip through engaged lineman. Keep an eye on Kylen as this playoffs begin as he can swing a game with his dominating role for the Scots.

Luke has been as steady as any defensive lineman so far this season. Luke has an excellent first step and incredible raw power which makes him extremely difficult to block. I have been impressed with the pad level he plays with as he keep his pad level down and his shoulders square to the line of scrimmage. Luke has very good speed for a 270 plus pound defensive lineman and has a very good motor and never gives up on a play. In a conference full of very good offensive lineman Luke is a constant disrupter. Keep an eye on Hudsonville as the playoffs get rolling. Luke will have a lot to say about anyone trying to knock the eagles out of the playoffs.

Gavin is having a very good senior year for the sailors of south Christian. Gavin has been the target of every blocking scheme any team that gets ready to face him and still has not mattered. Gavin is a long rangy defensive end and has very good speed of the edge. One of the most impressive things I have seen from Gavin is his ability to take on a lead blocker as a play comes to his side and his ability to defeat the block and make a play on the ball carrier. Gavin plays with a high motor and is very physical at the point of contact but still reads his keys and makes plays or forces the play back inside to his help. I have been very impressed with Gavin as the regular season winds down and have a feeling he will make a play to turn a game as the playoffs get rolling.

Avery is a player that I can only describe as versatile. Avery has the ability to line up on the edge and get after a quarterback or he can line up more inside and absolutely plug up run lanes. The one thing that really stands out from Avery is the speed in which he plays with. At 270 plus pounds he does not lumber around. He is very light on his feet and is able to bend the hoop in a passing situation or he can just use a bull rush and completely collapse a pocket. Avery is very dynamic and a player you have to account for on every snap or he will make it very long night for opposing teams.
