X-Files: Social Media's Best Highlights

<p>The X-Files takes a closer look at some of the rising talent across New Jersey's middle school football landscape. In this series, we'll break down highlights and evaluate the traits that stand out on film from the last week. Let's take a closer look and spotlight the players who are already showing the tools and upside to make an impact as they continue their development.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">There was only one play to evaluate from [player_tooltip player_id='1638406' first='Christian' last='Cali'], but it was enough to catch my attention. After not liking what he saw on his initial read, Christian showed good pocket awareness by working his way outside the pocket before delivering a sharp throw on the run. His mechanics stayed clean throughout, and he looked comfortable extending the play while keeping his eyes downfield and reading the defense. It's a small sample, but the traits on display have me wanting to see much more film from Christian.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Christiancaliqb/status/2096587398779970045 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">From deep safety, [player_tooltip player_id='1653744' first='Ez'mere' last='Strong'] displayed the instincts and closing speed that can completely change a play. He diagnosed the developing route, opened his hips and covered serious ground toward the sideline before tracking the ball down and making the interception. His range was equally evident when he came downhill in a hurry to deliver a hard hit and break up a reception. The ability to play over the top while also darting downhill gives Ez'mere a well-rounded skill set, and in my eyes, he is one of the more impressive safeties in the NJ 2031 class.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Ezmere179639/status/2094178909243757004 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1640415' first='Cam' last='Casendino'] was a major factor on both sides of the ball for the Roxbury Jr. Gaels, turning five carries into 126 yards and three touchdowns while adding seven tackles defensively. His vision really stands out on film, especially in open space, where he does a great job reading his blocks, cutting across the field and finding the daylight. His offensive line opened up some big lanes, and Cam showed the burst and decisiveness to take advantage of them. Once he gets into the second level, he is not an easy back to bring down, using his balance and physical running style to keep plays moving. The combination of production, vision and two-way impact makes Cam a player to keep a close eye on.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/CamJamX2/status/2098994992857460808 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2219574' first='Malachi' last='Miller'] flashed his big play ability from the backfield, finding the end zone twice and showing the type of acceleration that can change a game in an instant. He hits the hole with purpose and quickly separates from defenders once he gets into space, leaving would-be tacklers chasing from behind. Malachi's sprinter-like build is evident in the way he moves, giving him a dynamic element as a running back.
