Week Three Prospects to Add to Your Recruiting Board

These are prospects currently outside our rankings who are new names to add to your recruiting board, whether it's production, athleticism, physical tools, or simply making plays that stood out on tape. It's still early, but these are some of the new names we'll be watching closely as the season moves forward.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Spring Valley's Cole McChristian is an under-the-radar 2027 OL prospect to know and earned his first college offer from Capital (OH) last month. He has been a key part of Spring Valley's rebuilt offensive and defensive lines as a two-way player and is a stout presence at the point of attack. McChristian has a strong punch and does a good job striking inside of his man and is able to sustain blocks when he keeps his feet moving. He executes his assignments well in the Timberwolves' Wing-T and has shown the upside that makes him an intriguing small-college prospect. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://youtu.be/N6e0_nzkP9A?si=CMhusED970Iw5eCd </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">2029 ATH Edison Metheny had a coming-out party last week against Hampshire with a huge two-way performance for Moorefield and is a name to know moving forward. He recorded three interceptions on defense while adding two explosive touchdowns on offense, including an 85-yard rushing touchdown and a 45-yard receiving touchdown. Metheny is a bright young playmaker in a Yellow Jackets program that's shaping up to have a loaded 2029 class. His fluid athleticism was on full display last week as a smaller but dynamic athlete. His two-way playmaking ability and last week's impressive showing should give him plenty of momentum heading into the rest of the season.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/edison_metheny/status/2098992653392093416 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">2027 K Jaylen Brown has put in a lot of work to develop into a legitimate kicker prospect for Bridgeport and it's paying off in his senior year. Brown is the younger brother of former highly ranked DL Wes Brown Jr, but he's carved out his own path as a specialist and has been consistent through the first three weeks of his senior season. Brown isn't your conventional kicker prospect with a 5'9 235 frame, but he's done a good job handling PAT duties for the Indians while allowing star RB/K Gavin Williams to get a break and save his legs from handling the other specialist duties as a three-phase player. Brown earned an opportunity from Glenville State in the offseason, where his brother plays, and his continued development makes him a worthy specialist to add to your recruiting board.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/jaylen_bro14/status/2099221143446073647 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">2028 Fairmont Senior WR Dominick Trotta has made the transition from quarterback to receiver and is getting more comfortable in the Polar Bears' passing game as the season moves along. Trotta has made some nice plays early on, while Fairmont Senior's passing game continues to come together with a lot of new faces in the mix this season. He's a vertical threat who has done a nice job working intermediate and deep routes, giving the Polar Bears another option to stretch the field. Trotta is an athletic player who fits well at receiver and should continue developing into one of their top options as he gains experience and builds more chemistry with his QB.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/DominickTrotta/status/2099219115760062724 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Elijah Moody has been on our radar for a while and has developed into a varsity contributor as a junior for Buffalo. The 2028 WR is carving out his own path at Buffalo as a pass catcher after his older brother Josh Moody set records at quarterback at Nitro. Moody has a long and athletic 6'4 200 frame that gives him plenty of room to continue developing, and we could see his future at the next level potentially being at TE with his size. He flashed that potential last week against Summers County, scoring two touchdowns on four catches and showing just how imposing he can be as a wideout.
