Week 3 Section V: Fireworks and Defenses

Take a look!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><span style="text-decoration: underline">09/18- Fairport Red Raiders vs. Pittsford Panthers:</span></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Such a back and forth game between the Fairport Red Raiders and the hosting Pittsford Panthers. Nevertheless, Roessel displayed his breakaway speed, which we saw on numerous occasions. One of the most explosive runs was on a 4th and 1 at the 9:45 mark in the third quarter, where Roessel put the Red Raiders up. He went 21 for 35 passing, had 267 yards through the air, and had 3 TDs. Regardless, Pusateri's ability to manage what was in front of him and not to get discouraged in a game that swung. Getting the football into his target's hands is what he was able to do throughout. Whenever Provenzano needed to make a play, he either used his legs to extend the play or found an open receiver. Impressive ability to keep his eyes downfield and not get fluttered. That was a prime example when he found RB Roessel on a 3rd &amp; 8 touchdown. On the opening kickoff, he returned an 86-yarder to the house to put Pittsford up. Moreover, on the receiving side, Jablonsky racked up big-time catches for his QB. Undeniable was his YAC ability, which we saw on a slant route where he outran the entire defense to put Pittsford up 23-6. Goetz had 14 carries for 73 rushing yards to contribute. To maintain a balanced attack, Pittsford relied heavily on him. Keeping his legs moving after taking big shots was clear. On the play, he connected with WR James Brumfield on a deep throw. Cunningham delivered the ball into a spot where his receiver had an opportunity to make the play. Altogether, Westbrook ended the game with 9 tackles and 2 forced fumbles that were critical plays to the game. He was flying around making key tackles all around the field for Monroe.
