Once again this past week, the state of Florida was in the spotlight on the football field.

No matter where you went in this vast Sunshine State, there were prospects, in every class, making something positive happen on the football field.

As we continue to spotlight and uncover more talent than any other source, we continue with a look at some gifted players did their thing with game-changing performances – and college coaches are watching.

Here are some of the players that we noticed this past week:

2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2141000' first='Marc' last='Brinkley'], WR, St. Johns Creekside. When one of our many student/athletes comes up with a quality performance, Prep Redzone Florida is there to spotlight it – and with his 3.56 GPA in the classroom, this is a sophomore who already gets it. On the field this past week, he caught 10 balls for 194 yards and scored 3 TDs.

2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2199370' first='Zaylan' last='Chapple'], RB/Athlete, Merritt Island. The Mustangs have something special in this junior. Down 20-0, they came back to beat Viera as he carried 10 times for 218 yards and 7 catches for 79 yards with 2 TDs.

2028 – A.J. Chung, QB, Winter Gardens West Orange. One of the best juniors in the state helped to keep his team unbeaten with a strong first half with 225 yards and 3 TDs, giving him 12 on the season.

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2128241' first='Ja'marian' last='Clark'], WR, The Villages Charter. One of the top teams in the state continued to roll along as several players made an impact. Leading the way, this quality talent who had 4 catches for 190 yards and 2 TDs.

2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='2124098' first='Jeremiah' last='Davis'], LB, Sunrise Piper. Has really looked impressive so far. Last week, he registered 10 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 2 QB pressures.

2028 – Alex Drake, WR, Tampa Alonso. In helping to keep his team unbeaten, this versatile athlete had 203 receiving yards and 3 TDs. Also a track and field performer, his work in the classroom (3.2 GPA) is also opening some doors.

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1058482' first='Nick' last='Dyer'], QB, Cooper City. In leading his team to their third straight win of the season, this impressive student/athlete (5.04 GPA) completed 9 balls for 224 yards, 1 touchdown and a two-point conversion.

2027 – Jordan Fernandez, QB, Miami Gardens Monsignor Pace. In a huge win over previously unbeaten North Miami Beach, this impressive student/athlete completed 14 of 16 passes for 161 yards, 86 yards rushing and 2 TDs as well as a 2-point conversion. His 3.5 GPA is also something that college coaches are watching.

2027 - Arthur “AJ” Gallishaw Jr., RB/CB, South Fort Myers. There are several prospects making a difference for the Wolfpack and this past week, it was this student/athlete that had 186 yards rushing on just 12 carries with 1 TD. He is also a great student in the classroom – where he has a 3.7 GPA.

2029 – Cruz Garcia, OL, Orlando Innovation. We rarely shine a spotlight on offensive linemen, but this 5'10, 275-pounder certainly has changed that so far this season – with 6 Pancake Blocks and dominating play inside. A true student/athlete, he has a 3.8 GPA in the classroom.

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1880153' first='Lee' last='Gordon'] Jr., RB/LB, Edge, St. Petersburg Catholic. In addition to making an impact in the classroom (3.3 GPA), his play on the field this past week included 17 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 1 sack.

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2365935' first='Elijah' last='Harvey'], Athlete, Titusville. They call him the “Goat” – and for the third straight week, this standout made a difference. He also holds down a 3.6 GPA in the classroom.

2028 - Xavier Jimenez, S, Boca Raton Spanish River. Even though the Sharks fell short to state power West Boca Raton, this talented prospect had a game-high 23 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 1 pass breakup.

2027 - Ka'marion Jones, Athlete, Bradenton Lakewood Ranch. In his third game of his senior season, he left a mark on both sides of the ball – with 100 receiving yards and 2 TDs on offense – and 6 tackles and 2 pass breakups on the defensive side of the ball. He also gets it done in the classroom (3.0 GPA) as well.

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1649619' first='Josiah' last='Knight'], RB/Athlete, Pembroke Pines Charter. Over the past few years, here is a talented student/athlete that won an MVP award at a Prep Redzone Florida event. This past week, he had 12 carries for 132 rushing yards and had 1 catch for 35 yards on offense. Defensively, he had 5 tackles and a sack. He added 41 yards on the ground. His work in the classroom is also eye-catching with a 3.8 GPA.

2028 – Morgan Mastropolo, S/LB/RB/QB, New Smyrna Beach. This versatile standout picked off one ball, came up with 5 tackles and broke up three passes on defense. On offense, he had one rushing TD. Off the field, he has a 3.9 GPA!

2028 – Jeremiah Milcent, QB, Coconut Creek Monarch. While many experts chose their top junior prospects before the season started without watching all of them, someone forgot this young man, who added to his near 1,000-yard total in just three games with three more TD passes, knocking off previously unbeaten Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons.

2027 – Aric Person II, RB/KR/PR, Gibsonton East Bay. This extremely versatile talent was truly instrumental in his teams' win – with over 200 all-purpose yards

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1671219' first='Tyler' last='Reid'], RB, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. The University of Pittsburgh commitment had a season in one night as the No. 1 team in the nation held off No. 6 Miami Christopher Columbus as he ran for 338 yards on 13 carries with 4 touchdowns. That is good enough to be national player of the week!

2027 – Malachi Ross, DB, Jacksonville Ed White. While the Commanders fell short against the defending state champion Raines Vikings, he had 1 forced fumble, 9 tackles, 1 pass breakup and 2 tackles for loss. The 6'0, 186-pounder also gets it done in the classroom (3.4 GPA).

2027 – Nicolas Salas, PK, Orlando Bishop Moore. While specialists don't receive the attention they deserve, here is someone who certainly changed that narrative this past week with 6/7 on Touchbacks, 26-yard FG (4/4 on the year), 4 punts - all inside the 20 and one punt that pinned the opponent on the 1-yard line.

2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='2325004' first='Gabriele' last='Scarsini'], LB/DE, Coconut Creek Monarch. In a huge win against Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons, he had 10 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 interception and 2 pass break ups.

2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='2171576' first='KeSean' last='Smith'], RB, Tampa Bay Tech. In helping to keep his team unbeaten so far this season, this gifted runner carried just 7 times for 125 yards and two scores. In addition, he ran for 25 yards and added a 2-point conversion. He has already established himself in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA.

2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2346441' first='Noah' last='Wireman'], QB, Venice Wellen Park. This gifted prospect helped his team remain unbeaten with a 198-yard passing performance that included 3 passing and 1 rushing touchdown.

Statewide Coverage Daily. https://prepredzone.com/florida/

You Can Contact Larry Blustein with prospect or team information at: Floridakids1@aol.com.

COACHES, PLAYERS: Do You Have A Subscription?
