Hamilton Southeastern running back Carter Reed had a big game on Friday. Reed is a very good north-and-south tailback, a one-cut-and-go runner who wastes no time or movement getting vertical. He is a very good inside runner, perhaps one of the best in the state, very physical and finishes forward on contact. Reed had 31 carries for 185 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-14 victory over North Central.

Class of 2027 recruit Tristan Christopherson has shined for Hamilton Southeastern over the past couple of weeks. He is very good in coverage, with good leaping ability and timing the ball well for pass breakups. Christopherson flashes good skills in coverage, covering and carrying deep routes over the middle of the field. He also flashes quick closing speed v. the run and is a solid open-field tackler. Through the first two weeks of the season, he has 14 total tackles and four pass breakups. Hamilton Southeastern, very much a young team, is off to a 1-1 start.

Jarnard Moore was around the ball in Week 2 with strong plays on defense and special teams. The 5-foot-11, 172-pound athlete is very instinctive, takes great pursuit angles to the ball and wraps up on contact. I think he could shine early at a college program on special teams, where he is a very good kickoff coverage man. He racked up 20 tackles, 13 solo tackles and one pass breakup in Week 2. Very good at dropping in coverage and isn't afraid of being physical with receivers.

Nathan Johnson could be a very under-the-radar player. The two-way starter for Brebeuf Jesuit is a strong Class of 2027 recruit who shines on offense, defense, and special teams. He is a very effective kick returner who can make defenders miss and run through contact. He is a good receiver, too, with three touchdowns and 95 yards receiving on just six catches in Week 2. At safety, he flashes very good closing speed and his smarts in the classroom shine on tape with his ability to quickly read, react and diagnose on the move.
