He shows he can sniff out plays quickly, shock and shed off blocks and has man cover abilities downfield while able to redirect and close backside. He is explosive and violent off the edge with a quick first step, bend around the corner and can collapse quickly and shows good versatility anywhere up front. He eats blocks and splits double teams, shows he can rush the passer using both speed and power rush moves and should be near the top of sack leaders by the time this season comes to a close. Through only two weeks, he has already amassed 7.5 sacks and has been dominating his competition on Friday nights. He has good ball skills, can cover the entire back end if need be and has good range and closing speed when making a play on the ball while tackling well and coming downhill setting the edge. A very high IQ player that is always around the ball, he is another prospect that will be a nice late add to a college team and is having a tremendous start to his final prep season. He is a physical and fluid prospect that tackles well, comes downhill and packs a punch at the POA while showing he can cover downfield and is not afraid to bang in the box. He is a true ballhawk on the back end, reading concepts well and forcing poor throws over the middle. Jones has been off to a stellar start to his final prep season and tallied 27 tackles from the third level and excelled in coverage against bigger receivers.
