Goodpasture outlasts Davidson Academy 35-26

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In a battle of region rivals, Goodpasture and Davidson Academy went back and forth in the 1st half with Goodpasture holding a 21-20 lead. Then mother nature stepped in stopping the game for over 90 minutes. When we resumed both run games got back at it, with Tennessee commit [player_tooltip player_id='903798' first='Slim' last='Leavell'] striking the key blow with a blocked field goal return TD that sealed the win. A big physical back most of Chapman's runs were between the tackles and he had no problem carrying defenders with him. For a physical back he also has pretty good burst when he gets to the 2nd level. Chapman and QB [player_tooltip player_id='2071467' first='Chase' last='Angell'] had all of the key runs in the final 8 minutes of the game that ran out the clock for the Cougars win. Davidson Academy looked to take the lead on a short FG when Leavell swooped in blocked the kick, recovered it and sprinted over 85 yds for the score that clinched the game. Moore's running style is reminiscent of former Pittsburgh Steeler great Jerome Bettis. He stays low to the ground and runs with violence. One of the most underrated aspects to his game are his quick feet. He used subtle moves at the line of scrimmage and most big backs can't do this. At 6'2 205 he's got good size and the frame to put more weight. Hall did a great job exploiting the seams and<br>has the catch radius to make plays over most defenders. He had a couple impressive touchdown catches tonight and should be a consistent target for DA going forward.
