Beech wins over East Nashville in one the best games you'll see all season. A back-and-forth affair that saw multiple big plays and multiple lead changes. [player_tooltip player_id='903534' first='DK' last='Williams'] wins it for Beech on a rumbling 25 yd run with 2:01 left in the 4th. The Beech defense holds inside the 30 to seal the win. Let's take a look at some of the standout players from tonight.

[player_tooltip player_id='903534' first='DK' last='Williams'] brings the physicality:

https://twitter.com/Swiftvoice24/status/2098233387525828815

The 5'10 194lb RB/LB plays much bigger than his size. Williams might have had the two biggest runs of the night, an 82 yd TD ramble in the 1st half and the game winning TD in the 4th. He finished with 179yds and 3 TDs on the night. In between those 2 runs he was a physical presence on defense, including a couple tackles that stopped drives. Williams has good blend of physicality and the speed to run away from defenders. Williams currently holds offers from Bowling Green, UT Martin, Eastern Kentucky, Morgan St, and Southeast Missouri St, among several others.

Devin Crutcher runs hard for Beech:

https://twitter.com/Swiftvoice24/status/2098226244143779898

Down to down Crutcher carried the mail for the Beech offense, he's listed at 5'7 186lbs and his stature makes it very hard for him to tackle. His contact balance bordered on absurd, even when he looked like he was tackled Crutcher would find a way to push forward. Crutcher is averaging well over 7 yds a carry and along with Williams, they'll be the key to the Beech offense.

Beech Offensive Line makes a statement:

In the 2nd half with the game in the balance the Bucs relied on their O-line to get the win. [player_tooltip player_id='1563793' first='Justin' last='Davis'], [player_tooltip player_id='1563772' first='Ryder' last='Gallaty'], [player_tooltip player_id='1279822' first='Jack' last='Henderson'], [player_tooltip player_id='903523' first='Hunter' last='Smith'], Jonas Green and [player_tooltip player_id='1634767' first='London' last='Parks'] all had a huge hand in making sure the Beech run game was on point. In the 2nd half Beech didn't attempt a pass in part because they were so comfortable with their run game getting 5 and 6 yds a pop, and this line was the reason why.

[player_tooltip player_id='1668630' first='Dallas' last='Covington'] shines for East:

The East QB had several eye-popping moments tonight and nearly led East to a huge win. Covington looked comfortable tonight attacking the middle of the field. When the Beech defense dropped 7 or 8 into coverage, he was able to find running lanes multiple times. Over the last season it's clear that Covington has gotten stronger you can see it with some of his passes and his ability to bounce off tacklers. The Western Kentucky commit despite the loss tonight is poised for a big 2nd half of the season and looks to guide East deep into the 2A playoffs.

https://twitter.com/Swiftvoice24/status/2098227663773065235

The East playmakers:

https://twitter.com/Swiftvoice24/status/2098213600615620921

Micah Graves, [player_tooltip player_id='1974488' first='Cason' last='Reed'], [player_tooltip player_id='1607226' first='Jaylen' last='Mays'] and Malachi Harris all made big plays on both sides of the ball for East. Graves the transfer from Maplewood, had a couple of eye-popping kick returns and caught a couple of key passes across the middle. Reed had a couple explosive runs including a late touchdown that gave East the lead. He currently holds offers from Memphis, North Alabama, and UT Martin among others. Mays had a key interception at the end of the 1st half and made plays all over the field. Harris had a 1st half interception and a long TD pass as well for the Eagles.
