Victories over Hatch Valley and El Paso (TX) Mountain View signal Chaparral could be a dark horse in District 5A-2. Six-foot-3 freshman sensation <strong>Nick Miller</strong> is turning heads at QB. Completion rate of 71.9 percent (41-of-57) for 8 TD in the first two games. Huskies face Atrisco Heritage in an intriguing Week 3 6A-3A matchup Thursday night. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kirtland Central</strong>: The Broncos have opened the season with wins over Shiprock and Bayfield (CO). The Knights drubbed crosstown rival Mayfield in Week 2. Their team speed is impressive. <strong>Jayden Rascon</strong> and &nbsp;<strong>Malachi Martinez are</strong> dynamic playmakers. Martinez had a huge fourth quarter kickoff return for a TD in the Capitan win. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Tucumcari</strong>: The Rattlers have risen to No. 2 in the latest MaxPreps Class 2A ranking released Tuesday following impressive victories over Jal and Tohatchi in the first two weeks. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1684748' first='Jermy' last='Jones']</strong> is a player you need to know.
