Defensive Standouts From Louisiana and Miss Friday Night Lights

Defense wins championships. Teams need good defensive players to go out there and rock out. Here are some guys to know.

Shamar Evans

Evans is a linebacker from Ruston who gets it done. This young man is a stud who loves to come up and make hits. He is one of those guys who knows how to read his keys. He was all in the backfield during their last game. There is no reason why Evans should have to come off the field when his team is on defense.

Rayvon Collier

Collier made a big pick six for Starkville this past Friday night. He is a 6-foot, 170-pound young man who has some good speed. He was on the field being a general for his secondary. Collier is one of those guys who has shown his talent during multiple games. This is a sophomore college football coaches are going to want to go ahead and get their eyes on.

[player_tooltip player_id='1036605' first='Trace' last='Wilson']

Wilson is a stud from Tupelo who is a dude. He does a good job of being a true presence at the nickel position. There are going to be times where you see him come up and make sure tackles. He is also a threat in the secondary in the hooks and flat zones. Wilson will also stretch out and make plays over the top. He is a division prospect who fans across the state should talk about more.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249531' first='Kaiden' last='Buchanan']

Buchanan had 3.5 sacks, 3.5 TFLs, 12 total tackles, and 1 force fumble during his last game. The kid from Tupelo has colleges from all around the country interested in him. He continues to prove that he is a player who knows how to track down the football. This man is known to be all over the field on defense. It would be nice to see him pick off a couple of passes this season. That would make his game all the way complete.
