<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we head toward Week 4 in this fast-moving high school football season, we need to take time to reflect back on what has happened so far.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As the state of Florida is always in the spotlight and college coaches watching the amazing athletes – in all classes – Week 3 once again had an amazing amount of head-turning performances that made their way on to the desks of college coaches across the country.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With so many high profile games taking place that are being watching across the country, being in a spotlight this early in the season is a plus for the many prospects who continue to jump on the recruiting radar screen.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we gave you some top performers yesterday from this week, we are adding to that list with several other players who made an impact this past week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Check out these quality players who continue to make it happen:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 - Xavier Ballesteros, DB/WR, Belleview. </strong>What a great start to a senior year that has included 23 tackles, 15 solo, 1 pick 6, 3 tackles for loss, 2 catches for 16 yards.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2209558' first='Charles' last='Benson III'], RB, Pensacola Washington. </strong>Had a solid week against Pensacola High School with 126 yards on 18 carries. Last week he had 181 yards and 2 scores.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 – Gabriel Bowens, Athlete, North Palm Beach Benjamin. </strong>What a week it was for this gifted junior as he ran for 280 yards and 2 touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, he had 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss and a forced fumble. He also does it in the classroom with a 3.9 GPA!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 – Brody Brantley, DB/LS, Punta Gorda Charlotte. </strong>He had a full day in the third win of the season – with 4 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles 8 total tackles, 1 QB hurry, 1 forced fumble and as a long snapper he was 3/3 punt snaps 2/2 short snaps. Holds down a 4.53 GPA and is a baseball prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2122902' first='Chayse' last='Brown'], WR/CB, Ruskin Lennard. </strong>In a win over St. Petersburg Catholic, this impressive talent had 8 catches for 109 yards and 2 scores.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2090933' first='Jaison' last='Brown'], LB, Yulee. </strong>Made an impact this past week on the defensive side of the ball, leading to a win – with 14 tackles 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and a fumble recovery.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2122459' first='Bryan' last='Bynes'], WR, Coconut Creek Monarch. </strong>One of the prospects that was ready for a breakout year – and his 10-catch, 175-yard and 1 touchdown this past week showed why may felt he was going to be special.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2030 – Jake Carr, QB, Bradenton Bayshore. </strong>How about this 5'10, 150-pound freshman who has been impressive as he was efficient last week in a win by going 10 of 16 for 133 yards and 2 touchdowns. That followed up his Week 2 performance where he threw for 190 yards and 2 scores.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>&nbsp;2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2138761' first='Bryce' last='Daniels'], OL, Gainesville Buchholz. </strong>In remaining unbeaten through the first three weeks, he had 16 pancake blocks and dominated up front for the Bobcats. The UAB commit also gets it done in the classroom with a 3.7 GPA.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='2201850' first='Chailert' last='Egan'], PK, Chipley. </strong>When it comes to recruiting, college coaches are always watching on the field play but also what happens in the classroom. He has been impressive through three games – PAT: 5/6 (1 Blocked), FG: 3/3 - Long: 40 yards. Punts: 5 for an average: 36.8 yards with a long: 42 yards and has 12 kickoffs with an average of 55 yards. He also has an impressive 4.6 GPA.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 – Tristan Horne, Athlete, Delray Beach Atlantic. </strong>What a great week for this young man with 3 Interceptions, 2 Pass Breakups and 2 Tackles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2381621' first='Tyrese' last='Jefferson'], Athlete, Melbourne. </strong>This track and field standout had another huge week with 10 carries for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns, 4 catches for 81 yards and a score, and a 72-yard punt return for a TD.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 - Wilhelm “Love Island” Love, DB, Jacksonville Sandalwood</strong>. Had an impressive week with 5 tackles, 2 pass breakups and only allowed 1 catch. He did have an interception return for a score called back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 – Jackson Lummus, LB, Maitland Orangewood Christian. </strong>Has enjoyed quite a season so far with 14 tackles, 2 sacks, 4 QB hurries, 2 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovered.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 – Talen McElyea, Athlete, Freeport. </strong>Had 210 all-purpose yards, including 145 rushing 45 receiving and 20 KR yards on 14 touches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 – Soldier Morris, WR/DB, Cape Coral. </strong>Came up huge in a big win. This two-sport athlete, who also happens to get it done in the classroom (3.39 GPA), caught 6 balls for 90 yards and played on defense, covering a top-flight receiver and making a lasting impression.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 – Trent Player, TE, Ponte Vedra. </strong>Proving that you don't always have to win to have a huge outing, in a tough loss, this quality talent had 11 receptions for 167 yards and 3 TDs. The 6'3, 205-pounder also makes an impact in the classroom with a 4.2 GPA.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='1084758' first='Dominick' last='Sgambellone III'], QB, Naples First Baptist. </strong>In staying unbeaten (3-0), this gifted passer was 17 of 30 for 292 yards and 4 TDs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2324913' first='Colton' last='Smith'], Athlete, Miami Ransom Everglades. </strong>In staying unbeaten, this impressive student/athlete finished with 17 Tackles (5 solo/12 assists), 63 All-purpose yards and 3 receptions for 35 yards. He holds down a 3.9 GPA in the classroom.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><br>2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='2152198' first='Kobi' last='Souverain'], LB, Riverview. </strong>Continued to have a tremendous senior season – with 7 total tackles and 1 pass breakup. That's 27 tackles so far in this young season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2029 - Jayden "JT" Timmon, Athlete, Yulee. </strong>After missing the first two weeks of the season, he broke out in a major way this past week, running for 310 yards 2 touchdowns, 1 reception for 40 yards with 1 touchdown - 350 all-purpose with 3 total touchdowns.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='2124089' first='Jah'Cari' last='White'], DL, Lantana Santaluces. </strong>This dual sport athlete had a huge week for the Chiefs with 9 total tackles and several QB pressures.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 – Darnell Williams, OL, Wimauma Morgan. </strong>While the offensive linemen rarely get the MVP awards during the season, here is someone who plays all five positions up front and continues to be a force for this program. He also throws the shot put and discus on the track team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 - Lucas Winters, QB, Pembroke Pines Charter. </strong>Had a solid Week 3 with 5 carries for 19 yards and completed 11 passes for 184 yards and 2 TDs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1721117' first='Nykel' last='Young'], LB, Valrico Bloomingdale.</strong> Ha d a big week as he finished with 10 Tackles, 1 Blocked FG, 2 tackles for loss and 2 QB Hurries.
