Enjoy!

The 2026 football season kicks off this week and we're kicking off our coverage with complete and in-depth breakdowns on the state's senior class. This is a class that will go down in the history books as one of the best in state history. We've updated our 2027 rankings to include the Top 200 prospects in the state. We have a ton of individual breakdowns dropping every day to spotlight some of those special prospects. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at ten newcomers to the state's 2027 rankings from the quarterback, running back and receiver positions. Whether these guys were on our radar and leveled up, burst on the scene this offseason or are newcomers to the state in general, we have a little bit of everything here. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2027 individual breakdowns!

Leading the way for the 2027 newcomers is Broken Arrow quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1686398' first='Shamar' last='Banner'] after he moved into Oklahoma from Georgia this offseason. Banner came into the state with a lot of hype from his time in Georgia and being one of the more sought after QB prospects in their 2027 class. Banner won the starting role with the Tigers this spring and when we got a chance to see him in person, it was hard not to be impressed with his complete control of the offense. He can beat defenses in a variety of ways and that was on full display. He will also benefit from leading what could be the most talented roster in the state of Oklahoma this fall. Banner is another 2027 prospect already committed to a D1 program after committing to Marshall this summer.

We're always going to be on the side of a basketball athlete that comes out, puts the pads on and shows some physical ability. McAlester has a gem in tight end [player_tooltip player_id='2250553' first='Davien' last='Pouncil'] that we think will have a big senior season. Pouncil is a standout on the basketball court but this fall, he's going to give football a shot and if he carries over the momentum that we saw him play with back in the spring, this could be a very fun season for him. Pouncil feels like one of those basketball athletes that might find that his ceiling as an overall athlete might actually be higher in football. He's big, athletic and he was not afraid to get very physical when it was time to be physical. He has all the makings of being a breakout star for the Buffaloes this season.

Coming out of this year's spring camp tour, Vian wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='2243581' first='Demariaun' last='Antwine'] was one of the players that we had circled for this ranking update. We knew that he was going to debut in this update but the only question was going to be where. Granted, this is all based on watching him in person for 90 minutes in a team camp setting. While we have a good feel for his overall ability, we still want to see what he does this season with the Wolverines. But all signs point to him being an absolute star at the Class A-1 level. With his size alone, he is going to be a match-up nightmare for every cornerback that tries to slow him down. And his leaping ability and overall athleticism is going to allow him to make big plays throughout the 2026 season this fall.

Right there with Antwine is Union's [player_tooltip player_id='2343661' first='AJ' last='Moton'] from the standpoint of 2027 prospects that really impressed us back in the spring. Moton is a newcomer not only to the 2027 rankings but to Union after he was at Sapulpa in the past. Moton is a long, rangy outside receiver that makes spectacular plays look very easy. He showcased that several times back in the spring. But just like with some of the other newcomers on this breakdown, we want to see that same playmaking ability in the fall, when the lights are brightest. He certainly has the potential to do it this season. And if he does, don't be surprised if Moton blows up among the 2027 wide receiver prospects in the Tulsa area. There's a lot of potential for him to be one of Union's top targets.

Newcastle's [player_tooltip player_id='1831889' first='Montre' last='McGlugritch'] is another 2027 prospect that has a ridiculous ceiling moving forward. It wouldn't be surprising to look back on this class in a few years and wonder why we didn't know about this prospect earlier in his high school career. We got a chance to watch him back in the spring and he's another big play threat to watch at the wide receiver position. It's also possible that he might end up on the defensive side of the ball. The Racers are going to use him at the safety position and let him roam around and use his athleticism to make plays. But when it comes to this season, we can't wait to see what kind of production he has on offense. All signs are pointing to him being one of Newcastle's breakout stars this fall.

We're very high on Wynnewood coming into this season and why wouldn't we be after the year they had in 2025? Leading the way this fall will be another strong rushing attack, headlined by [player_tooltip player_id='2252309' first='Aydrian' last='Knighten'] at the running back position. Knighten is the younger brother of Baylor running back and former Oklahoma HS standout Caden Knighten and he's coming off a breakout junior season. Knighten is going to be one of the top running backs to watch in the smaller schools when the Savages take the field this fall. The production was off the charts last season and we're fired up to get a chance to watch him in person this season. Knighten and the Savages are one of the priority teams that we will make sure we see in the first half of the regular season.

Edmond North's [player_tooltip player_id='506530' first='Domonique' last='Martin II'] is an interesting 2027 prospect to watch as the Huskies take the field this season. Right now, we think he is an outstanding wide receiver prospect and has the potential to have a fantastic senior season. But don't forget about what he's able to do on the defensive side of the ball in the secondary. We got a chance to watch Martin in person a handful of times this offseason and it's hard not to be impressed with the motor that he plays the game with. He's going to be the do-it-all weapon for Edmond North in the passing game. He can beat defenses in a variety of ways with a variety of route combinations. We got a chance to watch that first hand and there's no reason to think that he won't bring the same juice into this season.

Wagoner is going to have one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='1718189' first='Keyshaun' last='Brown'] is definitely going to be a name to watch this fall after enjoying a breakout season in 2025. The Bulldogs are also coming into this season with a major chip on their shoulder and expect to be back in the state title picture in a loaded Class 4A. For Brown, he's going to have another opportunity to perform with more eyes on him. He's a dynamic player with the football in his hands. He's the true definition of a dual-threat quarterback because he is incredibly dangerous with his arm and then with his legs when the play breaks down. He put up some really strong numbers in 2025. Don't be surprised if all of those numbers go up this season.

We cannot wait to see what Sallisaw running back [player_tooltip player_id='2250960' first='Kenyan' last='Hill'] looks like this season. We saw flashes of him being a standout running back for the Black Diamonds but he was also splitting carries with another running back. But that won't be the case this season as Hill is going to be the feature back in the offense this fall. There are several 2027 running backs to keep an eye on this season because they are about to get a much more expanded role on offense. When we've watched Hill in the past, he's a shifty running back that is incredibly tough to bring down in the open field. Don't be surprised if Hill emerges as one of the better running backs in Class 4A this season from a production standpoint. He's going to get the carries to have that opportunity.

Harrah lost a very productive running back this offseason but they gained another one when [player_tooltip player_id='1838154' first='Rebel' last='Doiron'] moved in from Little Axe. Last season, Doiron ran for more than 1,000 yards and was a guy that found a way to keep their offense on the move. Now, he joins a Harrah offense where the strength is on the offensive line. All signs are pointing to Doiron having an even better senior season. Talking with Harrah's coaches this summer, they are very excited about his potential in their offense this season. We weren't very familiar with his game but getting a chance to watch some film and look at his overall production, he's a 2027 running back that should definitely be on some radars as he gets ready to kick off his senior season.
