PRZNY Team Previews: Jamestown Red And Green

But the Red &amp; Green would end the regular season on a three-game winning streak before blowing out Lockport in the Quarterfinals. They then went to Orchard Park and avenged an early season loss to punch their ticket to the Sectional final game against Bennett. Alaric earned second team All-League honors as a LB and was impactful as Jamestown's backup RB and was even named a Player of the Week for his dominant performance in the first round of the playoffs. I first saw him play live as a 9th grader on the Jamestown JV team where he displayed good footwork and solid mechanics. As a sophomore, Jackson took a step forward and will continue to grow. He was also an exceptional Special Teams player. In Week 2 vs St. Joe's when I saw him play live, Navon made several catches as a WR and recorded a pair of INTs on defense. They will then begin a stretch of 5 straight division opponents beginning with newly added, Health Sciences followed by 4-time AA champions, Bennett and tough matchups against Niagara Falls and Lancaster.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jamestown has not won a Class AA title since their 2014 State Championship run but they are always in contention reaching the final four in the past three years since rejoining the division. The Red &amp; Green have lost several key pieces from their last two successful seasons so how their personnel will perform is a wait &amp; see. But one thing is for sure that Coach Langworthy and his staff always has Jamestown ready with a proven track record.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
