Prep Redzone Maryland looks at a few players who proved to be playmakers for their team in wins this past weekend. This article will focus on the offense.

Brayden Nyce completed 14-of-21 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns in his first varsity start for Bullis (49-14 win over Bishop Ireton). He also added a 31-yard run. His name should sound familiar to those who follow high school football in Virginia. Nyce transferred from Loudon County during the off-season. Last year, he passed for 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Marshall carried the football eight times for 153 yards and two touchdowns against Bishop Ireton. His two touchdown runs show him keeping his balance despite heavy contact and running through arm tackles on his way to the end zone both times. Already showing that he has a nice burst off the ball and can run through open holes quickly. Already has the vision to navigate through traffic at the first and second levels and break away from defenders on the perimeter at the third level.

Rivers made the most of his touches in his team's opening-week win. He caught four passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Strong start for McGhee-Rivero as Bullis will be leaning on him and a couple of others to step up for an offense featuring a few new starters at the offensive skill positions.

Different school, same results. In his first game as a St. John's College Cadet, Rouson ran for four touchdowns. The contact balance that he shows in these clips is his best trait. Rouson is built like a tank and runs with a great lean, keeps his legs moving, and runs through contact. One-cut type of runner who sees the crease and takes it. Playing in the WCAC and a challenging schedule gives Rouson an opportunity to climb our rankings by the end of the season.

New chapter. The first one he returned was the opening kickoff, and it most likely set the tone for Bishop McNamara. Robinson, whom we have ranked as a defensive back, showed he can contribute on special teams.
