Wilson continued his dominant start to the season with another huge performance in Sloan Canyon's 35-20 victory. The talented running back rushed for close to 200 yards and two touchdowns, consistently creating explosive plays for the Pirates. Wilson runs with impressive speed and acceleration, but his strength and ability to finish through contact make him even more difficult to defend. He shows the balance to stay on his feet through traffic and the burst to turn a small opening into a big gain. After another strong outing, Wilson continues to establish himself as one of the top running backs to watch in Las Vegas.

McQuiag was a difference-maker in the secondary during Sloan Canyon's 35-20 victory, finishing the game with two interceptions. He turned one of those takeaways into points with a pick six, providing a huge momentum-changing play for the Pirates. At 6'2" and 200 pounds, McQuiag brings excellent size and physicality to the defensive back position. He reads the quarterback well, attacks the football aggressively, and has the athleticism to make plays after the interception. His combination of size, instincts, and playmaking ability makes him an intriguing defensive prospect to continue watching.

Pascal delivered one of the top rushing performances in Las Vegas during Palo Verde's impressive 42-18 victory over Desert Oasis. The 2028 running back rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns while providing a consistent spark for the offense. Pascal shows excellent vision as a runner and does a good job identifying running lanes before accelerating through them. Once he gets into the open field, he has the speed and explosiveness to create chunk plays and put pressure on the defense. His Week 2 performance was another strong showing from a young back who should continue to generate attention.

Romero took over on the ground for Clark in its impressive 27-12 victory over Virgin Valley. The junior found the end zone three times, giving the Chargers a dependable scoring threat throughout the game. Romero runs with good toughness and does an excellent job staying downhill and finishing runs with physicality. He has the ability to find space between the tackles while showing enough burst to capitalize when a running lane opens. After a three-touchdown Week 2 performance, Romero is a 2028 running back worth keeping an eye on as the season progresses.

Kalilimoku continues to look well beyond his years as just a freshman on the Sloan Canyon defensive line. The 6'2", 235-pound defensive end recorded two sacks in the Pirates' victory over California opponent Muir High School. Kalilimoku already possesses impressive size for his age and combines it with strength, explosiveness, and a high football IQ. He does a good job attacking blockers, finding the football, and using his physical tools to create pressure in the backfield. With his frame and early production, Kalilimoku has the traits of a potential Division I prospect and will be an important 2030 name to follow in Nevada.

Cahill made his presence felt on both sides of the football in Basic's dominant 34-12 victory over Sierra Vista. The senior caught two touchdown passes on offense and added a pick six on defense for an impressive three-touchdown performance. Cahill's versatility immediately stands out, as he has the athleticism and instincts to impact the game at multiple positions. Offensively, he provides a dependable receiving threat, while defensively he shows good anticipation and the ability to turn a takeaway into points. His Week 2 performance showcased exactly why he is a valuable two-way athlete and one of the players to watch for Basic this season.
