Mayo shows he can press the pocket from the interior with some twitch and pass rush abilities while showing a high motor and is seemingly always around the football making plays. He does a good job using his leverage to get underneath taller blockers, shocks and sheds quickly without giving up ground and is a very high IQ player when recognizing blocks and knowing when to dent/anchor inside. He snaps out of his stance, shows heavy hands and inside placement while able to play flat down the line and closes quickly with solid change of direction and lateral movement for his size. He flashes he can eat blocks up inside with leverage and snap out of his stance and has a few pass rush moves in his toolbox as well.
