Mayo is one of the top under the radar defenders defensive tackles in Southern California and is a very raw but talented prospect that should see some offers come his way after his Junior season. He is a massive framed kid that is strong and powerful at the POA and can snap out of his stance, quickly choke out blockers and reset the LOS while eating up double teams and drive blocks with ease. Mayo shows he can press the pocket from the interior with some twitch and pass rush abilities while showing a high motor and is seemingly always around the football making plays. As a plus length guy for the interior, he should draw plenty of college attention next off-season and is a key ’28 defensive tackle name to note.
