He has a good hip bend and uses that to his advantage to surge the lineman. He has quick hands and moves well laterally. With his clean footwork, he can be a hybrid backer where he can move around pre-snap to rush the pass. Watching him closely over the past year, I prefer him on the inside as he can use his power and speed to his advantage. He is a defensive lineman who does a good job of advancing his position and does better when he can use his power and make his lineman feel him over and over and wear down his man as the game goes on. He's had a full offseason and is another year removed from his lower body injury and we should see his explosiveness back this year and that should translate into a big year. He's a versatile player who can be a boundary corner or can slide over to either safety position. He's a corner with good coverage skills and shows good speed for his size. When he gets a good first step, he does a good job of staying in front of his defender and maintaining good positioning. When he uses his leverage and plays with good pad level, you see his footwork come together and when he does that, he can hold up to many of the better pass rushers in the state.
