The Standard Camp - Top Performers Report

On Sunday morning, we attended The Standard at Ackerman Park on the northwest side of Chicago and had the chance to take a look at several Chicagoland prospects who have high potential. Below is our top performers report from the event.    [player_tooltip player_id='1953433' first='Aiden' last='Nunez'] is a young Class of 2031 quarterback who is projected to play for Loyola Academy. Nunez is a very mobile QB with a good trigger and a quick release. For a rising 8th grader, he displays good velocity over the middle of the field and good touch on the deep ball. Good accuracy, especially when throwing on the move, can make off-balance throw, goes through progression and scans field well. Holds an offer from Purdue.     [player_tooltip player_id='1567137' first='Sam' last='Holcomb'] was the standout of the day. I saw Holcomb last winter at the Prep Redzone camp and he continues to get better and better. Quick release, smooth delivery, throws with excellent velocity and accuracy on the deep ball. Love his arm, touch on the deep ball, footwork, can throw on the move effectively and is smooth in his dropback with a settled lower half and good base. Good core strength, frame to get bigger and grow. Projected to play for Brother Rice; holds an early offer from Michigan.     [player_tooltip player_id='1371805' first='Tivias' last='Caldwell'] was a prospect I didn't know about prior to the camp. Love his size, frame, very bulky with a good size-speed ratio. Has good top-end speed if he finds grass and good vision with adequate COD. Tough runner who is physical through contact and can be hard to bring down. Lowers his shoulder on contact and runs with great balance, low pad level. Flashed good hands and body adjustment in one-on-ones with good long speed. Strikes me as a very under-the-radar prospect. Decent production.  Small school offers.     Liem Sesta is a starting receiver for Plainfield South. Multi-phase contributor on his high school team as a defensive back, receiver and kick returner. Love his vision as a returner and has some top-end juice after the catch. Good burst off the LOS and great adjustment to the ball high/low. At the camp, he flashed being a crafty route runner with good short area-quickness to create separation, get open and make miss after the catch. Holds small school offers.
