Team Preview - Shadow Creek Sharks

The Shadow Creek Sharks are coming off an 8-4 season, going 6-2 in district play, and making an appearance in the Area Round of the playoffs. The Sharks will be returning 6 starters on offense and 5 on defense, with some key additions to the team. The offense will be returning impactful playmakers with a strong line and experience, which should help in major a way this upcoming season. The defense brings back a dominant defensive line with a tremendous secondary to shut down the passing game.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1904022' first='Tavis' last='Coleman'] returns after a strong junior campaign. Throwing for 2,441 yards with 37 touchdowns to just 9 interceptions. The McNesse State-commit displayed great pocket awareness and arm talent in the face of pressure. He will be leaned upon and expected to deliver just as he did last season and will surrounded by a great supporting cast. Junior standout receiver, [player_tooltip player_id='1576285' first='Jaylen' last='Addai'] headlines the playmakers. With 37 catches for 779 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, Addai proved that he is ready for the game-changing role. Senior receiver [player_tooltip player_id='408616' first='Aden' last='Starling'] is back as one of the most explosive players in the area. He is also a redzone threat who knows how to win vs single coverage. Senior tight-end and ULL-commit [player_tooltip player_id='2131093' first='Bryce' last='Coleman'] is another impactful target returning. At 6'3, Coleman is a vertical threat who attacks the middle of the field with urgency. He is an incredible athlete after the catch and has a great connection with Tavis. Jacier Pace, senior running back, looks to be the feature back after a 400+ yard and 5 touchdown season last year and is one of the hardest workers on the team. He has shown the ability to reset the line of scrimmage while also being able to control his gaps. Scott can very easily disrupt a game with his play in the interior, setting the tone for the entire defense. The Sharks also add senior end and Michigan-commit [player_tooltip player_id='1562562' first='Xavier' last='Muhammad']. Muhammad immediately helps the defense with his presence and can lift the teams game with his game-altering talents. Senior linebacker Jackson Edwards will be a player to watch for off the edge. He is an athlete with tremendous speed and tenacity going after the ball. Edwards is a player who may catch the area by suprise with his skills and motor. The secondary may be the strongest group defensively due to Texas-commit, senior corner [player_tooltip player_id='946410' first='Brandon' last='Sherrard'] and fast-flowing senior safety, Maryland-commit [player_tooltip player_id='946412' first='Kevin' last='Jackson']. These two cause problems for opposing offenses. This program is a contender with experience and game-changers who can step up when needed. The offense is high-powered with the right guy at quarterback paired with incredible talents around him. The defense has players who can flip the momentum in a play and a group of guys who fly to the ball. The Shadow Creek Sharks have the pieces and they will be the only thing to get in the way of a deep playoff run. Sharks feed on Friday nights and these guys will be hungry come week 1.
