Summer Surge Week 1: Prospects to Watch

<p>In this new July series, we track and monitor workouts, practices, camps, and more. With dead weeks ending today and athletes returning tomorrow, there are ten prospects to watch this week as they look to surge in recruitment and on the field. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1346229' first='Joe' last='Myles'] is a prospect to add to the recruiting board due to his reliability and coachability. Myles displays good body control, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to adjust mid-route with solid concentration near the sideline. He's athletic, sure-handed, and wins in contests. He's physical off the line of scrimmage and can play through contact at the catch point with strong hands, solid hand-eye coordination, and concentration. Starnes is a solid, physical run blocker, showcasing the ability to angle defenders to create running lanes behind them at the point of attack. It will be interesting to see how his transition from Georgia to Arkansas will be this summer. He utilizes his upper-body strength to be stout, supported by strong lower-body and core strength, effectively dominating at the point of attack. He's a high-IQ football prospect. He displays good read-and-react ability and solid angles when attacking downhill. Williams is physical at the point of attack and can tackle in space. He's strong in zone coverage due to his fluidity and ability to change direction. He's coachable, calm, and displays solid decision-making. He possesses solid mechanics, a quick release, good velocity, and arm strength. He racked up 144 tackles, 13 TFLs, 10 sacks, and one interception. Miller is a physical off-ball linebacker who excels in blitz packages and filling running lanes at the point of attack. The defensive back can play both off-ball corner and single-high safety. Shipp displays good change of direction and lateral movement to stay inside the receiver's hip pocket. At linebacker, he already plays the game like a senior, displaying communication pre-snap and flying to the football, sideline-to-sideline. Huckeba is a threat at wide receiver, looking like a potential tight end with added muscle. New team, new year, and another opportunity for him to show his talents. Smith displays a quick release off the snap, eating up space quickly due to good foot quickness and acceleration. He gets to the stem quickly and creates separation off breaks due to good COD, balance, and burst.
