played like a top 5 Wide receiver in the state of Arkansas.
Last weekend he made every corner that had the task to try to cover this young man very difficult. Smith is a big target, while also being super nimble and quick.
Smith made catches in almost every area of the football field. He ran short routes, middle, and long routes to almost perfection. It was a joy to watch this young man go to work in every game.

continues to look extremely athletic and hard to defend as he has risen up our rankings. Smith displays a quick release off the snap, eating up space quickly due to good foot quickness and acceleration. He gets to the stem quickly and creates separation off breaks due to good COD, balance, and burst. Add him to your recruiting board.

is a high IQ football player with a deep skill set. Being a 6 footer opens the door to more opportunities at different positions. Jay’s production at each cannot be denied. Going back watching more film from last season he put on a show at QB, WR, and RB. He is a big RPO threat at Quarterback, and you can just go Wildcat and let him do him. Catching the ball comes natural and he can get behind DBs or elevate over small corners. Running Back was he trusts what he sees and hits the hole with passion. Either way, Mr. Smith is a problem with the pigskin in his hands.

Smith is a nice sized athlete with a broad skill set. Seeing him play Wildcat to create unfair matchups makes all the sense in the world. Why wouldn’t you guarantee that your best athlete is touching the ball each play. Jay keeps schemes honest whether it’s a built in run, or a run pass option. Also, he can line up multiple in multiple sets as receiver. This is where he looks most comfortable using his consistent catching ability. So far he is responsible for 10 scores.
