He is equally as good in coverage as he is at making plays against the run. In coverage, he shows a good ability to play the deep ball. He turns, runs, and makes plays look easy. He also has good ball skills as he makes pass deflections look easy. Diehl is also a good tackler. He does a nice job tackling in the open field. He is a highly skilled athlete who can throw the ball well. His mechanics and footwork are good, as he can layer the ball into tight windows. He is also good at the various fakes and footwork of a quarterback in the Wing-T. He is much more than a wing-t quarterback because he is a highly skilled quarterback. He would thrive in any system. He is that talented a passer. He throws a good, accurate ball on time. With his size (6'5"), strength, and athleticism, he is a dominant player. He also has excellent feet, which allows him to drive defenders off the ball. He has some of the best moves I have seen from a running back this season. On one play, he made 5 or 6 defenders miss. He has an exceptional ability to stop and start. Then he has legit speed to run by defenders. He can use his size and athleticism to match up against defensive backs. Then, as a blocker, he is outstanding. He uses his frame and size to destroy defenders. Malakoski recently picked up an offer from LVC. He has good size (6'1") and speed. He shows a good ability to catch the ball. He is especially good at catching the ball in tight coverage. The best part of his game is his route running. He can run almost every route, and he runs them well. He is lethal in double moves. He sells the route and then goes deep.
