On the Rise: 2027 Offensive Stock Risers Making Their Move

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Whether it's a big performance on the camp circuit, a standout spring showing, or simply putting it together on tape, these offensive prospects have seen their stock trending upward. Here's a look at the 2027 offensive players making their move and turning heads heading into the season.</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Mitchell has seen seven offers come through this spring. 6'3” 280 lbs. he plays with a violent edge at center, clearing the LOS in the run game with power and strength at the POA. He's quick from snap to engagement not wasting any time getting his hands on his target. Latches on with good hand usage, to control the block and sustain throughout the play. In pass protection, he holds his ground by anchoring down against interior pressure. Shows he can also work to the second level getting his pads on LB's and sealing them off to spring the run downfield. At 6'3” 295 lbs. he played primarily OT as a junior though his skillset could translate inside to OG at the next level as well. His size and strength allow him to overwhelm opponents at the POA and he consistently finishes his blocks to the ground in the run game. He's not just a straight-line mauler, he also shows he can work out to the perimeter and get out in front of screens to be effective blocking space. In pass protection, he keeps a clean pocket with a quick kick step, solid balance, and active hands to control rushers. He's had to wait his turn after sitting out five games due to transfer rules and playing behind a senior but has flashed when given the opportunity. Possesses an impressive dual threat skillset with outstanding speed, set a school record with a 10.68 100m. He's a smooth passer with an effortless over the top delivery. Shows he can his spots on time with good ball placement. Plus arm strength throwing from the pocket or from off balance platforms on the run being able to push the ball downfield or throw with velocity at the short/intermediate levels. Explosive as a runner both on designed runs and broken plays. He can out run angles and separate from defenders in space with good acceleration and a sustained second gear. His skillset allows him to run a wide route tree to attack downfield or underneath. He's fast out of his stance with a good drive phase, applying early pressure to coverage before the route fully develops. Strong ball skills paired with good coordination let him easily track and adjust to the ball in flight. He does a good job creating leverage at the catch point allowing him to out compete defenders and come down with difficult contested receptions. He shows good feet to match movement and maintain positional leverage against defenders trying to work him off his spot. Drives his feet on contact to consistently clear running lanes and finish blocks in the run game. Athleticism shows in his ability to get out in front as a puller with good footwork and initial contact while on the move. Also shows the awareness and ability to adjust his angle on the fly to engage. Recently earned his first D1 offer from San Diego followed by an offer from Ottawa. Expect his combination of power and mobility to continue drawing interest as he enters his senior year.</p>
