Mixed Bag: Offensive Skills who Shined During Summer’s Camp Tour

Now a senior, Concepcion showed that he has the arm strength and proper grip mechanics to pierce the wind on a go-ball. On another go-ball, he had outstanding ball placement where only his running back could make a play on it, as it landed flesh against his teammate's fingers. Moreover, on an out route he had great ball placement so his teammates can catch, plant, and turn upfield. He can, however, stand to push the ball closer toward the sideline when his paired running back is working a wheel route. I thought that, in particular, Negri stepped up in the pocket well. He may need to calm down just a bit, however. His running back was wide open on a Texas route across the middle. Physically ready to play varsity, Brake needs some time to develop if quarterback is indeed his future. I noted that he did not stride into his throw, relying solely on his arm and shoulder.
