Eagle Academy II Team Preview

<p>Last Season (6-3)<br><br>Eagle Academy II was a really good squad last season. They finished the year 6-3, and had 3 games where they shut out their opponent. They had some massive wins, including 59-0 over Brooklyn Technical HS, 54-0 over Canarsie Educational, and 40-0 over South Shore HS. They've got some really impressive prospects headed into next year, and they added even more firepower to their roster. Below we'll take a look at their program headed into next year</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Prospect</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kaevon is our highest ranked player from Eagle Academy here at Prep Redzone, and is our highest ranked linebacker in the 2028 class. He currently holds an offer from Syracuse University. Kaevon has prototypical size and an athletic build for a college linebacker as a 2028 prospect, putting him way ahead of schedule from a physical standpoint. I'm excited to see how his recruiting picks up this upcoming season-he'll definitely be a hot commodity soon.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">X-Factors</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Imperial's another very highly ranked player we have at Eagle Academy. He's mean and tough, he finished plays. He's a strong lineman with a solid foundation. I think he projects as a guard at the next level, and could elevate his recruitment even more by flashing some more speed and movement ability in space. He's got impressive size for a kid his age.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Charles is an awesome linebacker. He's got the rare ability to stay square and consistently tackle ballcarriers. He's got nice downhill speed and flashes violent hits. I'd love for him to get a little bit taller-but he's already a very exciting prospect. He's got the ability to go horizontal and get to the backfield quickly. He's also got really nice patience waiting for the ballcarrier in the hole. He lets them come to him, and then calmly finished the play. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Now we move onto my favorite position! I really like Caratelli's velocity. He's still able to mix up his fastball with some touch, and flashes some nice mobility. He shows awesome anticipation in the pocket, and consistently keeps his eyes downfield even while moving around in the pocket. He's super comfortable attacking outside the numbers and deep down the field. I'm not sure he's 5'11, I think he may be a bit shorter-but he's still got some time to grow and put more weight on. A few more inches would do wonders for him. Nitpicking aside-he's a legit player and a fun watch.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lindor is a tall, long receiver that can go up and get the ball over defenders. He's got really strong hands and the ability to make acrobatic adjustments to the ball in the air. I'd love to see him more in space running away from defenders, and working shorter routes. But in terms of jump balls and contested catches, he's absolutely elite. He's got height and length that would put most college receivers to shame, let alone high school. He'll be a fantastic red zone and deep ball threat in college.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Fast, twitched up edge. He can really move. His height is a huge plus, and i think he can comfortably put some more weight on his frame. I'd love to see his hands get a little more active and for him to use his bend more-because he is an athlete and has the ability to turn the corner on these big tackles. He's a sound tackler and has really good form. Plays both the run and pass well. If he is able to fill out his frame he's going to be a PROBLEM at the next level.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><br>Breakout Player<br></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Zy'eare is the definitio of an athlete. He's twitched up, he's fast, he's got lower body strength and the ability to run through arm tackles. Good vision in space. I really like watching his tape. I've heard that he's grown a bit, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do on the field next year with some added height. I'm not exactly sure where he projects at the next level, he's probably a runningback unless he has some more growth spurts, but he's got natural hands catching the football. He's just a guy that you give the ball and get out of the way. They've got Erasmus Hall week 2, which looms as a heavyweight matchup, but other than that, they play very winnable games against Canarsie Educational, Susan E. Wagner, New Dorp, DeWitt Clinton. With their returning stars and some new transfers that should really help them out, I'd except Eagle II to make waves next season.</p>
