ALL-22 Camp: Five who shined

New England Gridiron Development wrapped up its summer camp series with an ALL-22 Camp at Portsmouth (NH) High School. Athletes representing Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts attended the event, which featured some excellent members of the 2027 class as well as some talented members in the Class of 2028. These are five players who performed well at the camp:    Hebert was one of the top college prospects in attendance based on his frame (6-foot-3, 205 pounds) and athleticism. Hebert, who also started at linebacker as a sophomore, moved well in space on both sides of the ball, and took every rep like it was the next big play in a close game. He recorded 105 tackles (12 tackles for loss) and caught 13 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore, and it shouldn't come as a surprise if his production takes a big jump in 2026.      Colburn is one of a handful of excellent quarterbacks who attended the ALL-22 Camp and has waited his turn at Pinkerton Academy, which is one of the largest high schools in New England. Colburn was accurate with throws of all depths throughout the day and also displayed excellent arm strength, which comes in valuable during the spring when plays catcher for the Pinkerton baseball team. Colburn has a sturdy build and also lines up at linebacker. He'll attempt to lead Pinkerton to its third straight appearance in New Hampshire's Division I championship game this fall.      Offensive line was the strongest position group at the ALL-22 Camp, and Mitchell is one of the reasons why. A two-way starter at offensive and defensive line for the Portsmouth/Oyster River co-op program last year, Mitchell has added between 15-20 pounds of good weight since then. He gets out of his stance quickly and showed good footwork in offensive drills. Mitchell also displayed good leadership skills and will serve as a team captain in 2026. He's also no stranger to the weight room: bench (285), squat (395) and deadlift (455).      Cox was among the impressive players in the Class of 2028 at the camp. He's a versatile athlete who can play several positions on offense, but is probably a better defensive player (safety) at this point in his career. Cox is also a standout wrestler for Alvirne, and won the Division II championship at his weight class. He did a good job of playing the ball in the air at the camp, and also showed his competitive side. Cox has also displayed the ability to make open-field tackles, which may be his No. 1 strength.       Wilson is a 6-foot-3, 295-pound interior defensive lineman who also plays on the offensive line. Because of his size, Wilson attracted attention from one college coach at the ALL-22 Camp the second he stepped on the field. He's under-recruited, likely because he plays for a Division III school in New Hampshire. He was a Division III All-State Selection at defensive tackle last season, when he recorded 45 tackles (three tackles for loss) and helped Laconia reach the Division III championship game. Wilson is not lacking strength: bench (305), squat (435) and deadlift (500).
