Dozens of Louisiana's top-ranked 2027 prospects have announced college commitments already, but the several legitimate Division-I prospects around the always-talented state remain available on the recruiting market entering senior year.

With August fast approaching, Prep Redzone Louisiana will look at a few of the most notable uncommitted prospects at each position that programs should take a closer look heading into the fall for potential steals in the final month of the cycle.

Here are a half dozen quarterbacks to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612659' first='Brody' last='Anderson'] — 6-3, 200 QB — Sam Houston

The multisport standout, also one of the top pitchers in the state, is one of the more athletic quarterbacks still on the market in Louisiana's senior class. Anderson is a big, solidly built lefty who has shown a strong arm and the ability to put some nicely thrown balls on the money deep down the field. His mobility, with 40-yard dashes in the 4.5- and 4.6-second range, has been pivotal with his 1,187 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground the past two seasons to go with his 3,388 yards and 32 touchdowns through the air, but he's been at work this offseason to continue improve his consistency and technique and could end up a nice sleeper in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='742755' first='Peyton' last='Clement'] — 6-1, 175 QB — Covenant Christian

"Swaggy P" has continued to grow up considerably — both physically and in his confidence — from the young wide receiver who began popping up well before high school working with and learning from some of southeast Louisiana's top prospects at the time. Clement is now reportedly up past 6-feet tall and has shown intriguing accuracy, including some flashes of perfectly placed balls into tight windows, in his opportunities thus far, including this offseason, but this fall will be his biggest chance to showcase his continued development with a few local FCS programs already monitoring his progress.

[player_tooltip player_id='734706' first='Hudson' last='Fields'] — 6-0, 175 QB — Brother Martin

The Crusaders' quarterback is another of those players we've seen grow up from an early age following the footsteps of his older brother who went on to lead Louisiana (Lafayette), to his own early snaps earned as an underclassman to now preparing for his senior campaign. The younger Fields has good mobility to extend plays and has shown the accuracy to sneak the ball into some tight windows, including doing so when on the move rolling out away from pressure. He's competed against top-flight competition both in the New Orleans Catholic League and in high-profile 7-on-7 settings and will have more opportunities this fall to prove himself against several of Louisiana's best teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='2228471' first='DaJohn' last='Howard'] — 6-3, 180 ATH/QB — Salmen

The electric dual-threat leader and playmaker at the helm of the Spartans' offense is the most athletic player on this list to the point that he possesses Division-I potential at other positions as well, but he has shown — even when eluding the rush and dancing his way free of defenders — a wiring to keep his eyes downfield and keep his options open to flick the ball to teammates for a big gain or take off and gash defenses with his legs. As a junior, Howard racked up, 1,902 yards and 16 touchdowns through the air and another 907 yards and 14 scores rushing for an impressive total all-around and impressive balance in the ways he can beat opponents.

JaCori Platt — 6-0, 210 QB — Zachary

Platt was one of the highly ranked prospects in the state's loaded quarterback class from the initial list two and a half years ago. His strong build and strong arm stood out early and enabled him to show some intriguing flashes, particularly with his deep shots down the field, in his opportunities the past two years at Central in a reserve role as a sophomore and a position battle as a junior. He will wrap up his high school career at Zachary and will be among the most pivotal players in the state to watch this fall both for his own recruiting stock and his ability to lead a Broncos bunch with some key talent around him and eager to make another potential title-contending run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1651155' first='Bryce' last='Restovich'] — 6-2, 180 QB — Loyola Prep

The Flyers' triggerman was among the state's most prolific and efficient quarterbacks as a junior with 3,406 yards, 48 touchdowns and just nine interceptions on 206-for-290 (71.0%) passing and should lead a similarly prolific offense again this fall with he and some of his top weapons all back and eager to build off a 10-win season and quarterfinal run. Restovich plays with poise in the pocket, stands tall and has a highlight reel full of well-thrown deep balls down the field. And he has some athleticism to his game that includes a couple particularly long runs as a junior, but particularly shows up as he slips by the pass rush and extends plays.

Dozens of Louisiana's top-ranked 2027 prospects have announced college commitments already, but the several legitimate Division-I prospects around the always-talented state remain available on the recruiting market entering senior year.
