2026 Preview: Top Offensive Prospects Needing a Breakout Year

There aren't many camps and no games to attend right now, but that doesn't mean we at Prep Redzone are sitting on our hands. On the contrary, we are hard at work. All throughout the summer, we'll be taking a look at some top returning starters and young prospects who will make a big impact as the season rolls around this fall, spotlighting several prospects. Here is our summer scouting notebook, with an emphasis on four offensive players who need a breakout 2026 season.    [player_tooltip player_id='1301211' first='Aidan' last='Horn'] is a solid possession wide receiver for Guerin Catholic High School. Horn has good burst off the LOS, and can create space as a route runner. While he tends to catch and find soft spots in zones, he flashes some juice after the catch and can be gone in a hurry. Keep an eye on his development and for his recruiting to take off in the spring.     [player_tooltip player_id='2071439' first='Anderson' last='Keller'] is a good receiving tight end, solid route runner based on camp film. Does a good job of getting open and extending his arms to snatch the ball out of the air. Good get-off and first-step quickness at the line of scrimmage. Flashes being a good route runner especially deeper downfield. Name to monitor at a good program.     [player_tooltip player_id='923723' first='Anthony' last='Layman'] is a starting tight end for Hanover Central. Good blocker from his spot at TE; very good at releasing into the flat, sealing off the corner and finding someone to block in space. Can drive defenders off the ball, latch on and displays good leg drive/hand placement and strike timing. Plays long, high academic prospect. Flying under the radar recruiting wise.     [player_tooltip player_id='2249863' first='Wanson' last='Hall'] is a starting running back for Tri-West High School. Hall has very good top-end speed with the ball in his hands. Dynamic in space and flashing explosiveness, Hall can make defenders miss on the fly and outmaneuver defenders to the corner. He is very effective in space and running off-tackle. He also displays soft hands out of the backfield, quickly catching and getting vertical. Keep an eye on his development.
