UIW Cardinals Elite Camp Recap

<p>UIW kick off their first camp of the summer and it was a competitive one. From quarterbacks dialing in from throwing periods , to the skill guys getting separating in and linemen battling in the trenched. What stood out was how players took in coaching and put it to one on ones. He was quick out his break during individuals drills; he also showed the ability to mirror receivers effectively. He had the chance. to show what he can do at UIW camp. He move well through drills displaying quick feet , showing he can change directions without losing speed. Jarren showed he can also run routes out the backfield. His shiftiness and quick feet allowed him to create separation consistently during one on one competition. Jacob showed confidence throughout the day and was making it difficult for DBs stay attached to him in space. Michael did a good job staying patient in one on one situations ; not biting early on any double moves and working on staying in phase with receivers. Breaking on the ball is what he was best. At Camp rainey showed versatility as a both A DE and interior. Using his hands through blocks especially when lined up inside where he was able to hold his ground. He carried himself with confidence within the DB group. He competed well in drills and one one ones. He showed good awareness when reacting to routes in front of him. There's still room for polish, but his tools and competitive are clearly there. He was receptibe to instructuion and working on it during drills. Taking coaching points with him during drill work. He also showed his quickness through bag drills, making cuts and keep his feet active. He also competed during one on ones segment. He showex growth in picking up coaching point in pass protection. The ball came out clean with a tight spiral. His football, ball placement and as well as his accuracy was on point. In individuals, he showed good football quickness through cone dills while keeping the ball high and tight. Callan on film showed a is a hard runner , excited to see what he does in 2026.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Gage was showing some promise while working out during the camo. He stayed engaged in every drill. While running routes he showed he can get out of his breaks clean. Catching the ball away from his body is what i like most about Gage. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Chase seem to get better at every camp i've seen him in so far. Chase look good from Indy drills, angle pursuit drills and ran pretty well. When working through shuffle and change of directions reps, he showed good hips and reactions. During one on one , he had an INT where he rip the ball of the RB hands.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Pete is a quarterback to look forward too in 2026. Early on, he was taking a lot of coaching points, showing he was willing to adjust to details being taught. On air, Pete showed good rhythm and ball delivery towards the RB/WRs. I love the velocity he throws with his deep balls. He moved pretty decent through drill work. I love how smooth brody move through the cones. Brody is a back to look forward too. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Gunter was one of the more impressive young quarterbacks on the field. He is in the class of 2029 at UIW camp. He showed some good work, he was well relaxed and showed some clean throwing motions. Gunter also was showing some good football throughout the day and showed out during one on ones. Gunter offered by UIW after camp. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">There a lot to like about alexander showing good traits at the camp. He handled the individual drills period with good effort , and staying engaged and working through coaching points without hesitation. As the reps stacks , he became more comfortable with his moves. Alexander also had a good junior season. Can't wait to see whats left in the tank.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Hermann showed a consistent jump off that was very consistently throughout the day. He moved pretty well in individuals drills , showed flashes of hand usage engaging when OL. Hermann also show he has different plans when it came to the pass segment. </p>    <p>UIW camp delivered exactly what it was supposed to be. It was as strong day of football that highlighted both present production and future potential across the board. UIW next camp is on Friday June 12, Expect a new group of studs to come through.</p>   <p></p>
