Prep Redzone Louisiana released its latest 2027 class rankings update Monday, including a several notable new faces after breakout junior years.

The debuts on the offensive side included a few recent Power-Four commits, as well as some other talented prospects who possess the potential to follow suit to that high-profile level.

Here's a look at the six highest-debuting offensive standouts in the latest update with one even cracking the top 20, two more in the top 30, two more in the top 50 and one more narrowly outside that threshold.

[player_tooltip player_id='2227399' first='Gary' last='Burney Jr.'] — 6-4, 185 WR — Parkway

The Parkway star is the highest debut in this round of class rankings after hitting the radar with a 1,300-yard junior campaign and continuing to bolster his recruiting profile throughout the spring. Burney possesses prototypical next-level size and sure hands that uses well to his advantage with a long catch radius that also helps him make plays out away from his body through contact. And he runs well enough to be a threat deep down the field or for big chunks of yardage after the catch. Burney recently committed to Houston, but is due to visit LSU this weekend and remains an interesting recruit to monitor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2227400' first='Josiah' last='Morgan'] — 6-1, 190 WR — Ruston

Another north Louisiana wide receiver whose breakout junior season this past fall led to an offseason recruiting surge and eventual Houston commitment, Morgan is the most thickly built and strong of a trio of Cougars pledges here with a great combination of that physicality, his explosiveness and speed the 4.5-second range and all-around ball skills tracking, high-pointing and hauling in any throw his direction, including hanging and adjusting plays in the air.

[player_tooltip player_id='2227401' first='Marcus' last='Watson Jr.'] — 6-1, 175 — Central

The Wildcats' multisport standout kicked off Houston's run of recruiting success this spring in what was already a nice win for former Tulane coach Willie Fritz and company to dip back into The Boot. Watson is a lean, fluid athlete who tracks the ball well downfield and has the explosiveness to create consistent separation. He showcased many eye-catching aspects of that athletic profile at PRZLA's Stock Up event early this year with multiple broad jumps over 10 feet, a 4.41-second shuttle and a 4.50-second 40-yard dash. And having only been back playing football for about three years now after several years out of the game during his childhood, he may particularly be a prospect just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1681342' first='Tylek' last='Lewis'] — 6-1, 220 RB — Zachary

Lewis arrived from Texas this year and enjoyed a breakout, 1,000-yard junior campaign in a balanced Broncos backfield. He already looks the part of a college running back with his strong build overall, including powerful legs to grind through contact, and he has run the 100-meter dash in the 10.7-second range, including a 10.90-second finish in last month's state championships. Lewis has emerged as one of the running backs in the class overall and particularly among the bigger, more traditional athletes at the position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2227468' first='Aymaud' last='Sykes'] — 6-0, 175 RB — Grant

Another back with good college size and a track background, Sykes was among the most prolific backs in the state from his record-breaking, 10-touchdown opener on his way to nearly 2,200 yards and 35 touchdowns. While his breakaway speed has often headlined the buzz coming out of his area of the state, his quick feet and balance through traffic and contact may stand out even more on his junior film and he is a well-rounded weapon who is effective running routes and making even contested catches down field.

[player_tooltip player_id='2227499' first='Jordin' last='Griffin'] — 5-9, 160 RB — Barbe

The LSU Baseball commitment remained largely under-the-radar on the football side until late in the regular season and into the playoffs when he provided some of the state's most eye-popping performances of the entire fall. Now, as this summer heats up, a few programs have ramped up their efforts to potentially have him in pads on Saturdays. Griffin doesn't have the size of the two fellow backs on this list, but is absolutely electric with the ball in his hands with one of the most dynamic combinations of quick feet, fast acceleration and balance through contact and his array and speedy moves and spins.
