- It's been an active month of college camp action with tons of prospects hitting the road to showcase their abilities. Several in-state seniors have taken full advantage of the summer camp setting by showing off their next level upside to gain college offers while others have increased their overall recruiting stocks. The camp season is far from over as well where we have plenty of FCS, D2, D3 camps upcoming this week and into the month of July, so time remains for TN2027 prospects to obtain next level opportunities.

- Just missing out on our initial rankings, Sharpe has performed this summer like he plans to move up in our next update while potentially putting forth his best season yet with the Mavericks. Where I can see improvement with this East Tennessee product is with his route running and speed. Those two areas were already solid traits for Sharpe but he has enhanced those skills significantly. Working out of the slot is where the Mavericks receiver will play on the next level and he has done well during camps showing that upside. Sharpe does need to continue getting bigger and stronger while performing well against physicality but the athletic traits and ball skills are there for this shifty slot receiver to keep watching his stock rise over the coming months.

(TE) [player_tooltip player_id='2005494' first='Julian' last='Douglas'] - Maryville

- A true under the radar talent that will need a few years to grow into his body, Douglas has flashed those next level abilities throughout the month of June and shown that he is worthy of more looks. The Rebels senior has spent most of his high school career at receiver but Douglas has started to embrace the tight end role, which is the position he has camped at this summer. What you get with this East Tennessee product is a flex pass catcher with good size and a wide radius that should be quite appealing to quarterbacks. Douglas also has strong hands while being able to catch passes amongst physical contact. More time is needed to grow into his body while enhancing his overall game but you can see next level abilities watching his camp work and what he can become in college.

(Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='2117018' first='Cavon' last='Carter'] - Maryville

- This coming Fall season will be big for Carter but so too is his work throughout camp season and thus far, the Rebels two-way talent has performed very well. Ranked just inside our current Top 300 prospects, Carter is an athletic young man that has displayed potential this summer at receiver. He has shown a good burst off the line and quick feet into his break while also demonstrating solid route running. I can still see potential at defensive back for Carter but I'm certainly coming around to his upside catching the ball. Working out the slot while also contributing on special teams is where he could fit well in college. There is still a lot of work to go, especially with gaining more overall size and sharpening his receiver skills but the athletic talents are there to develop nicely on the next level.

(OL) [player_tooltip player_id='1974137' first='Cam' last='Fazilat'] - Ravenwood

- The TN2027 offensive line is very strong this cycle, so it will take a lot for any big man to move up inside our rankings but the way Fazilat has performed this summer, you might see a rise in his stock during our next update. The Raptors offensive lineman has excelled during camp season where he has been consistent while showing improved athleticism and footwork while also maintaining his physicality. Most of his camp work has been done at tackle but for the next level, I personally like Fazilat's game best inside at guard where he can be a physically imposing run blocker while providing the occasional pass protection. All indications from his camp work speaks towards Fazilat having a stellar senior year and if he performs well, gaining more college interest is very possible.

(OL/DL) [player_tooltip player_id='904973' first='Zachais' last='Ratliff'] - Southwind

- Even though this Memphis area prospect had 10 plus offers in-hand before camp season started, Ratliff still hit the road this summer to show off his upside and it worked as the Jags big man recently pledged his services to Louisiana Tech. Sporting upside for either side of the line, Ratliff has displayed improved power and strength throughout camps while enhancing his explosion. We have the Jaguars senior rated as an offensive lineman, which is where I like his potential best but Ratliff has performed on the D-line this summer and I can see where he could flourish on the defensive side of the ball. There is a lot of development left to go, especially with his body but the athletic upside is in place to eventually excel on the college stage and form into a possible All-Conference performer.

(DE) [player_tooltip player_id='2186986' first='Gabe' last='Parks'] - Harding Academy

- Camp season can be where players push themselves to jump into the limelight and succeed and that's what Parks has done so far this summer. The Lions senior defensive end is currently a hidden gem that hasn't gained a lot of recruiting traction but I think it's coming, especially after his camp performances over the past month. Parks has shown some mature work rushing the backfield in camps, displaying good bend and a solid burst along with active hands and enough physicality to knock blockers out of their stance. I see a nice physical build from Parks that has plenty of room to get bigger and stronger. He does need to continue increasing his agility and speed while gaining more power but I like what I'm seeing from this Memphis native and his potential for a breakout senior year.

(DT) [player_tooltip player_id='1699523' first='Roosevelt' last='Bates'] - Southwind

- One of the better camp performers from our TN2027 class has been this Memphis area defensive tackle that has nearly been dominant during his 1 on 1 action. Undersized but strong with an agile, quick lower base, Bates has used his smaller height and football intelligence to win on a consistent basis during 1 on 1 work and shown the potential to develop into a serviceable 3-tech pass rusher. The Jaguars big man has some of the best football IQ from our senior D-line class and it has shown up big time during all his summer camp stops. Bates has landed a few offers along the way but I believe can gain many more this Fall if he puts forth a strong senior year. All indications point towards that happening, especially if you go off his summer camp action and the progression that has been made.

(LB) [player_tooltip player_id='2181090' first='Ben' last='Ironi'] - McCallie

- I think this new McCallie transfer linebacker is flying under the radar, especially after looking into his camp where Ironi has displayed strong athletic movements and the size desired on the college stage. Standing 6 '2 220 pounds with long arms and an athletic lower base, Ironi has a lot of physical tools and traits that translate to the next level but to push himself to new height, the Blue Tornado linebacker needed to show enhanced athleticism and speed, which is something I think he has done this summer. There is plenty of room left to be filled out with his frame as well. Ironi is a prospect I think will make a big impact on the McCallie defense this Fall and continue increasing his stock towards becoming a possible D1 guy.

(LB) [player_tooltip player_id='1675594' first='Brandon' last='Goldsmith'] - South Pittsburg

- Goldsmith is one of the more interesting prospects from our senior class due to his versatility and potential to handle several roles within the defensive back seven. His athleticism and versatile skill set has been on full display throughout camp season as Goldsmith has landed several FCS offers while gaining interest from many others. Where the Pirates defender has stood out the most during camps is his work in pass coverage. Goldsmith has a lot of experience in the secondary but I think he translates best in college as your coverage linebacker that can make plays sideline to sideline. You can see that potential in camps and I think that's what has helped this Chattanooga based senior gain traction on the recruiting scene. There is plenty of development left to go but it appears Goldsmith is on the right track.

(DB) [player_tooltip player_id='1664092' first='Amari' last='Mitchell'] - Whites Creek

- I have always seen potential with Mitchell and I think he is starting to see it himself as he has performed very well throughout camp season thus far and added several solid offers from West Georgia and Wofford. I think he could be on the verge of adding more, especially if he continues to progress on the path he is currently on. What the Cobras defensive back has displayed in camps thus far is better lower base agility and foot speed along with sharper hip movements. Mitchell has repped a lot at cornerback this summer, where he is showing potential but I personally like him best at safety where his athleticism and range can shine. This Nashville based prospect still needs time growing into his body while enhancing his game but the raw talents are starting to break through.
