It's June, which is close enough to the season to start preseason content, at least in my mind. We're bringing back one of my favorite series from last season, but this time it's a bit earlier in the summer. Here, we're looking at several conferences to predict one player per team as their team MVP. Let's look at the Four Rivers 3A/4A Conference.

Editor's Note: Since we started these much later in the offseason, we rolled these into conference previews. We'll preview conferences in the future, but here, we're just focusing on team MVPs.

Eastern Randolph Wildcats

[player_tooltip player_id='2140154' first='Kobe' last='Walker'] | RB

Last year's conference champions return several key playmakers on both sides of the ball. Walker went over 1,000 scrimmage yards last season, while the Wildcats also return his backup and three of their top four receivers. It's a balanced offensive attack, and the Wildcats look like one of the top teams in the 3A class.

Others Considered: [player_tooltip player_id='2003826' first='Cainin' last='Glover'] (WR), [player_tooltip player_id='2140152' first='Cade' last='McCallum'] (QB)

North Moore Mustangs

[player_tooltip player_id='2228712' first='Stryker' last='Murray'] | WR/RB

Murray was the top playmaker on a streaky North Moore offense last season. The rising senior averaged almost seven yards per carry and 17 yards per catch, but only touched the ball about 11 times per game. With some inexperience around him in 2026, I think the versatile playmaker will have a bit more of a workhorse role for the Mustangs. I wouldn't be surprised to see him reach 1,000 yards as a senior.

Others Considered: [player_tooltip player_id='1616110' first='Blake' last='Pennington'] (LB)

Northwood Chargers

[player_tooltip player_id='2228696' first='Raje' last='Torres'] | WR/DB/RB

The Chargers lose a talented quarterback from last year's team, but Torres is the best returner on an offense that wasn't far off last year. He was the leading receiver with over 500 yards and is the top returning rusher after finishing the year 125 rushing yards and a touchdown. Though undersized, he's physical defensively, and finished the year with 28 tackles and a sack.

Others Considered: Aiden Girard (LB)

Jordan-Matthews Jets

[player_tooltip player_id='1955439' first='Nolan' last='Mitchell'] | WR/DB

While Jordan-Matthews loses a few key pieces from last year's team, the Jets have some dynamic two-way players on the outside. Mitchell had five receiving touchdowns last year, while also rotating in at quarterback. He was also a solid defensive back, helping the Jets' secondary limit opponents' passing games.

Others Considered: [player_tooltip player_id='1970443' first='Namir' last='Wiley'] (WR/DB)

Southwestern Randolph Cougars

[player_tooltip player_id='2228682' first='Carson' last='Wood'] | WR

Southwestern Randolph has been building for a few years, but had to replace several key contributors heading into last year. The running game broke out, which allowed the Cougars to win seven games. This year, I think they may rely more heavily on the passing game with a veteran receiving group. Wood is a great underneath route-runner, and he's tough to bring down. That allows him to pick up yards after the catch. He's an excellent run blocker on the outside, and the coaching staff trusts him.

Others Considered: [player_tooltip player_id='2228681' first='Colton' last='McKee'] (OL)
