Oregon 6A Preseason All State 1st + 2nd Team "D"

Per usual, the Preseason All-State teams will be heavily influenced by projected team success and not just recruitment of the player. If your team doesn't win, it will be extremely difficult to earn all state accolades. If you are an individual who racks up all state honors even without your program winning, that's an impressive feat. [player_tooltip player_id='937240' first='Isaiah' last='Ormond'] is the other lineman I see being a 1st team all-state guy on both sides of the ball. Look for him to be a POY favorite on the defensive front.   [player_tooltip player_id='1246545' first='Josh' last='Christensen'] recently committed to Ducks after earning TRL D lineman of the year honors last year. Two other incoming seniors who I expect to be conference and state POY candidates include [player_tooltip player_id='937281' first='Tripp' last='Johansen'] who already has a handful of D1 offers and 6-3 225 pound edge [player_tooltip player_id='2088792' first='Zane' last='Carley'] who was a 1st team all Three Rivers League selection in 2025. He will have multiple offers before all is said and done.   Last but not least top 2029 [player_tooltip player_id='1705963' first='Ronan' last='Crawford'] of West Linn. It's not yet known which side of the ball he ends up projecting on, but he's an unreal talent who should be one of the best overall players in the state as a sophomore.    At LB [player_tooltip player_id='791149' first='Kawai' last='Chamberlin'] is the real deal. Credit to Oregon St who just got themselves a three year starter who will be an all Pac 12 backer for multiple seasons. Expect him to compete for 6A POY honors defensively.    I expect [player_tooltip player_id='1609595' first='Iden' last='Rule'] of Tualatin to be a 1st team backer and one of only four athletes statewide to earn 1st team honors on both sides of the ball. Fellow 2028 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1609761' first='Tyler' last='Holmes'] of West Linn also legit. Whether he's hitting bombs in the state title game for the baseball team or excelling on the football field, he's an unquestioned division 1 athlete in my opinion.    [player_tooltip player_id='936846' first='Leonardo' last='Correani'] of Lincoln is another noteworthy LB who I expect to run away with PIL Player of the Year honors. Two other big-time athletes with NFL/D1 genes include [player_tooltip player_id='1359070' first='Drew' last='Miller'] of Barlow and [player_tooltip player_id='937338' first='Cash' last='Wilks'] of Lake O. The Lakers will once again be in state title contention so it's no surprise to see Wilks garnering 1st team accolades, but Barlow has struggled as a program so credit to Miller for defying the odds and being too talented to keep off the 1st team list.    If we are talking on DB's good luck passing on West Linn next year. Separate from all everything POY favorite [player_tooltip player_id='632957' first='Josiah' last='Molden'], the Lions have a handful of dudes who will be 1st or 2nd team all-state secondary guys. [player_tooltip player_id='937113' first='Shane' last='Peters'] will continue to be solid and one of the best players in Oregon with [player_tooltip player_id='1609758' first='Jake' last='Hamper'] being a top 10 recruit for the 2028 class. [player_tooltip player_id='1609760' first='Luke' last='Cutting'], Caden Seymour, [player_tooltip player_id='1121755' first='Tyson' last='Donnerberg'], and Kenneth Ritchie will be right there with them.    Once again, [player_tooltip player_id='1560665' first='Brevik' last='Hill'] was the Offensive POY in the South Central, but garnered 1st team all-conference honors defensively last season as well. He should do that again on D.   I would consider [player_tooltip player_id='855093' first='Summit' last='Cvitash'] of LO somewhat underrated even though he was a 1st team all TRL Safety last year. Rising 2028 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1425922' first='Tahkai' last='Smith'] of Westview was recently offered by Oregon St and rounds out the list of 1st team all-state DB's.
